I have decided to do a series on {makeup storage}. I am such a girly girl, and I know a lot of you are as well.. so let’s organize those makeup drawers!! I have a passion for makeup & true confession: I have A LOT of makeup. I love collecting & trying out new products, & let’s face it the cosmetic industry is constantly putting out new products that I am tempted to try… not my fault. So I am in need of good makeup storage, so I thought, why not make it cute? {Part 1} is how I store my makeup brushes….
I made these {Makeup Brush Storage} Jars for my new vanity.
I got all my items to make these jars at my local Michael’s. Two jars (I chose a square shape), letter cut outs (That were on Clearance!), a hot glue gun, & colerfill (tiny clear beads) to hold the brushes upright in the jars.
This is sadly not all my makeup brushes, but I wanted to just but my most used ones in my jars. I will show you in another post how I store my other makeup brushes.
The beads help the brushes stand up strait so they are always easy to find & easily accessible.
I hot glued the letters to the jars. It seemed to hold really well, but a specific glue for glass might work even better.
I hope you liked my part {one} of my makeup storage series. How do you store your makeup brushes? I hope you all are having a great week.. It’s Wednesday tomorrow, ALMOST the weekend. Let me know if you use this idea!! I would love to see your makeup storage tips, go link them up on Liz Marie Blog Facebook Page.
Talk to you soon…

I actually had written down to pick up some stuff to do some of these makeup storage things at Michael's the next time I went! I AM IN LOVE with the little letter cut-outs you got to label them with. That is TOTALLY adorable! <3333

I actally did the same thing a little while back! I had tall circular vases left over from my wedding and am using them for my brushes, lip and eyeliners and then other *ahem* feminine itmes, in a concealed area of course. But I think I'll add something to the bottom of my brush jar – that's a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
The beads at the bottom are such a great idea — they serve a purpose, yet are pretty, too! Love it!
I saw your link on The Middle Matters blog hop…and I'm your newest follower
Happy Wednesday!

This is really neat! Unfortunately since my 2 yo already LOVE my makeup brushes, I'm thinking the beads would cover the bathroom! Maybe when she's older!
I've given you The Stylish Blogger Award but you must now pay it forward. please go here to read more http://www.thriftyniftycrafty.com/2011/03/im-stylish-blogger.html

Brilliant idea!! I'm wondering if those beads come in colors. I'd like to do a crazy colorful version for my 12yr. old stepdaughter. I LOVE your idea!!!!!
I just found your blog and am your newest follower. This is a great idea — practical and pretty. Thanks for creating such an inspirational blog for all of us to enjoy!
I {LOVE} these! I also store my brushes in a similar fashion. I did a post about my system here:

I use beans instead of the poly beads. I like how you used the cute letters to label each container. Thanks for sharing!
I love the idea of the beads to help the brushes stand up straight! I have a tutorial coming up on my blog for my own makeup brushes, I might have to use that idea! Thanks for sharing! Your jars looks adorable!
Very clever! So easy to see them all. I store mine lying down…and thus try to keep them to a bare minimum!
Another great idea!

This conversation between us girls just proved to me that I am not the one in this world who has a massive weakness for make-up brushes and make-up itself. Ha…to me it is a quilty pleasure
I Googled for makeup storage and your blog popped up. I'm looking to create a makeup area but have a very limited space.
Thanks for the ideas!

Hey. Thanks for the idea. I have been using a jam jar that I cleaned up and it was already kind of pretty because the angles on the glass. but now it looks even better!
I made these too! I just tied couple of contrasting ribbons around a recycled empty jar (canning jar, empty candle jar, empty jelly jar etc) and then I filled the bottom with small aquarium stones and it worked great! $3 for the stones and that was my total cost!
