Coffee Date with me, Liz Marie

Hey it rhymes. haha.
I love blogging for many reasons, but one of the main
reasons why I love blogging is the fact that I feel
like I’m sitting down with my girlfriends {& guy friends.. heyyo!}
I feel like I’m having a cup of coffee & discussing my latest projects,
crafts, & beauty products.
I want you to feel like you are talking to one of your
friends when you leave me a comment, tweet me,
or facebook me… we are all friends here just
chatting over a cup of coffee about all things lovely…

O hey! This is my comfy chair that I love sitting to blog, read,
& just to unwind.. Do you have a spot where you love
sitting to relax? You can read more about this
lovely chair {here}.

So Mr. LMB did the sweetest thing for me for Valentines day…
A little background on the amazing man I call my husband,
he is amazing at surprises & planning romantic things.
Way better than me.. I am jealous!
Well, after I bought him his new phone & tablet for valentines day
{I had to give it to him early, because I couldn’t keep it a secret!}
I told him to not spend too much on me, because
the tablet was like a present for both of us.
His sneaky little booty knew that I had wanted a Keurig for some
time now so he surprised me with one on Valentines day morning.
I woke up with a coffee mug on my nightstand with a note
tied with twine around the handle…
The note read, “Go to the kitchen & fill me up.”
It was 6am & I was still groggy, so I just assumed he had
made me coffee.. to my surprise the keurig was on the kitchen
counter waiting for me.
& ever since then, I have wondered how I ever drank
coffee at home with out my Keurig.

Today I chose the french vanilla K-cup.
I then mixed Almond milk & cinnamon in… It was delicious
& a healthier alternative to flavored creamers.
Don’t get me wrong, I love creamers.. I just chose
something else today to change it up a bit.
What’s your favorite K-cup?
Since I’m new to this, where do you find
the best deals?

Cheers! How do you like your coffee?
Any coffee tips & tricks you want to share?
I was a barista for many years, so I love trying new
things & learning more about coffee from
fellow coffee lovers like myself…

Want to see something cute & exciting that I got in the mail today?
I was inspired to make these business cards for a while now,
& my friend Christine helped me bring them to life…

 Aren’t they adorable?
I was so excited to show them off & bring them
to some local businesses today.
What do you think of them?
For those of you wondering, we made
them on Photo shop & ordered
them from Vistaprint.

Thank you so much for stopping by my lovely little blog today…
Let’s do coffee again soon :)
I would love to hear what you think of Keurig coffee makers,
& your tips & tricks as well!

Talk to you soon..

  2. Green mountian cafe express is where brandon and I found good deals for the k cups they have so many to choose from. Its like a lil coffee club that u can orderfrom monthly discounted :)

  3. Hey girl, I absolutely love your blog! Congrats on the Keurig!! Welcome to the club, I love mine! The best place to get your K cups is honestly online on the Keurig site (You have more choices and they’re a little cheaper). ORRR Bed bath and beyond.

    <3<3

  4. Oh you look so COMFY COZY…. I wish I was a Coffee drinker but unfortunately it just doesn’t taste as good as it smells.. :) Well to me at least.. :) I am a Hot Coco or Herbal Tea drinker… Love your business cards.. Looks like you have your own Paint Line.. :)

    • Girl come and drink some tea with me.. I do not discriminate! haha & thanks.. I really do love them.. & how did you know that is one of my dreams? Someday maybe? thanks for the sweet comment :)

  5. I just bought a refillable K-cup and then use regular coffee. That’s really the cheapest way!!! You can find em online, I bought mine through Amazon, or Bed, Bath, Beyond. Let us know if you figure out how to make a yummy mocha or something fun!

    • O my goodness.. I didn’t know they made those! That’s awesome. I will have to find one.. that way I am not constantly needing to buy the k-cups. Thanks for that advice! I will for sure be updating on my progress with my Keurig & fun new things I try with it! Thanks again!

  6. Sometimes you can find K cups at Big Lots! One of my favorite stores. Sometimes it a hit or miss, more hit than miss, but they have tons of organic food items!

      • Love my Keurig too. Got mine for Christmas from my honey. I love coffee too much. Can only have one “high test” cup a day, so I must make is good. I love hazelnut. I use the Keurig refillable for my decaf and also have the ekowbrew, but it leaks some. I have use filters in the once made with a ekowbrew disc top. It is too expensive. Keurig refillable is the best! Donut Shop is the best decaf.

  7. So cute! My sweetheart has a keurig (I love the convenience but I’m still pretty attached to my krups coffee/espresso maker), and the best deals we get are when they are on sale at Bed Bath and Beyond, and we bring the coupon that comes in the mail for an extra discount! I think Sams club might have them too, but then you have to buy in bulk…

    • Ooo good idea! I didn’t think of Sams Club.. I can buy them in bulk! haha this might be a problem. I bet the coffee/espresso maker is wonderful as well!! It sounds amazing!! Thanks for the tips!

  8. I’ve been wanting a Keurig for awhile now! How sweet of your hubby to surprise you :) Almond milk is so good and so is coconut milk. I love your business cards! So creative and cute!

    • Yes! I just started using almond milk.. I was always a soy milk girl, but I’m loving almond milk lately. I have only tried coconut milk a few times & have not been a fan, but I think I need to try it again & give it a chance! & Thank you very much, I love them :)

  9. I don’t have a Keurig yet but I do know that if something happens to it and/or it stops working, call the company directly. They are amazing at talking you through steps to get it works again! They helped my sister get her’s working again. They also sent my friend a new one when all the tricks didn’t work! Cheers!

    • Wow! Awesome! That is amazing advice.. Sometimes I wonder if companies will help you or even care if something brakes or stops working. I will for sure remember that! Thanks again for the awesome advice :)

  10. I love my Keurig! I order the k-cups from the Keurig website…if you spend 45.00, you get free shipping, so I usually just stock up all at once. The Blueberry coffee k-cups from Green Mountain is to die for. It just has a hint of blueberry & smells amazing!! :)

    • That’s a great idea to stock up all at once.. I’m sure you save lots of money that way. & free shipping is awesome! I would love to try the blueberry.. that sounds delicious.. & from what I am hearing.. green mountain is the best! Need to try! thank you so much!

  11. Love love love my kuerig and cannot imagine life without it! :-) I buy most of my kcups thru the kuerig website. You get points, free shipping and 20% off once you buy so many. Or…using coupons at kohls and bed bath and beyond.
    P.S. love your blog! :-)

    • O awesome! I didn’t know you could get points.. that’s pretty cool! I will have to check the Keurig website out.. I have not gone to it yet.. & thank you so much for saying that.. made my whole day :) You are too sweet! Thanks for your advice & leaving such a sweet comment!

    • That sounds awesome! I will have the tea brewing for you when you get here :) I have cut back a lot on my caffeine.. but it’s so hard with work, school, & life haha thanks so much also about my business cards, I have fallen in love with them!!

  12. I love your business card design. Genius! Btw I wanted to stop by to say thank you for suggesting the Dove White color. I just refinished my vintage desk using Dove White, and it turned out just how I imagined it and more. I did give credit to you and your blog in my post as well. Thank you Liz!

    • Awesome!!! I’m glad you love Dove white as much as me.. it really is the perfect white! I will have to head on over to your blog to see the desk.. I’m so glad you love how it turned out! Thanks for letting me know :)

  13. Yea howabout you don’t drink coffee without a straw. I’m surprised you’re drinking coffee, and other beverages without straws.. what a way to stain your teeth. AWESOME!

  14. I’ve had my Keurig for about a year and a half now and I don’t know what I’d do without it! I’ve tried about every K-cup they have and Green Mountain Breakfast Blend is my favorite! During the Holidays I love Green Mountain Pumpkin spice with pumpkin creamer and a dash of cinnamon and at Christmas I love Green Mountains Golden French Toast with French Vanilla creamer! Enjoy :)

    • O my goodness.. those all sound delicious.. French toast?!? are you kidding me? haha & anything pumpkin is my favorite.. I guess from what I am hearing Green Mountain is the way to go. Thank you soooo much for introducing me to those awesome flavors!!!

  15. Those cards are probably the cutest thing I have EVER seen!! Love your mug—I have a Tassimo machine and it’s great—I get the pods at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and use the 40% off coupon each time—they have K-cups too!

    • Awesome! I loooove 40% off!!! I will go there soon & check them out. & thank you so much, I was inspired to make these for a while & so glad I finally have them! thanks again!

    • Thank you so much Jacqueline.. My hair is long and hard to manage.. so don’t think it looks good all the time ;) haha in fact it’s in a bun right now, but no photos of that! haha I’m happy that I am in the “keurig club” now :) Your comment was so sweet.. thank you for that!!

  16. Hi Liz-
I think this is the first time I have posted on your blog but have been following for several months!
My fiance and I use our Keurig almost everyday- my favorite is the Nantucket Breakfast blend with almond milk to add some creamy sweetness.
Fiance is an Army soldier, I trick him into buying our K-cups at Lowes of all places. I can never find the Kcups on sale- but they sell the coffee at Lowes and military get a 10% discount on all purchases!
    Loved our coffee chat!
    :-) Melissa

    • Thank you so much for writing me!! That is a great idea.. I would have never thought of lowes.. & you have to love our discount!! That’s an amazing suggestion, & I will for sure remember that one. Thanks so much!

  17. Hi Liz Marie,
First I want to say I love your long beautiful hair.I have very thick hair and sooo much of it I only keep it shoulder length.Ha!

I am liking those business cards of yours, so simple and classy.

Oh and Keurig coffee is “da bomb” (do people still use this word)

    Mandy :)

    • haha Mandy, you crack me up… You can use da bomb.. I think it’s well… da bomb ;) I do love having long hair, but I’m sure you know with having thick hair.. it is a pain in the booty.. but I love it enough not to chop it all off. Thanks so much for stopping by & making me smile :)

  18. No way, those are the cutest business cards ever!!! And what a sweet hubby you have! I actually don’t drink coffee so I don’t have any tips or ideas!
btw so glad I read this post because I made a vow to myself that I’m going to grow out my hair the entire time my husband is in law school (the next 2 1/2 years)…my hair is always short so I keep wavering in my resolve. But seeing your long gorgeous hair has made me motivated again! Sadly mine probably won’t look that good once it gets that long- it’s so dang thin. But all the cool braids on Pinterest inspired me to grow it out. I’ll just keep coming back to your blog every time I start getting the itch to chop my hair off!

    • Awww that is so sweet.. honestly please don’t think my hair always looks fab.. It has it’s days, but yes I know you can grow yours out! I believe in you :) I chopped my hair off about 4 years ago, I mean it was above my chin. It takes time & patience… but you can do it & you will love it :) Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment!!

  19. Well we don’t have Keurig here in Spain, but I bought for the hubby a Nespresso one and he’s loving it! The thing is that I can’t have caffeine but … I discovered I just can make tea with it as well, just not using the capsules and only heating the water!!

oh and I love your cards, they are ver you!!

  20. Such adorable business cards! I have been following you on Pinterest since I joined last year and love your taste in decor etc. I just started my own blog and posted a fun paint chip idea. I’ll be pinning your cards for sure! Thanks for sharing :)

  21. I love so much that your entire post was themed around coffee. I am lusting after a Keurig machine, too. Though, I have to say that I make a mean cup of joe myself (or so the boyfriend says). And almond milk is fantastic! I use it in just about everything these days. Those are adorable business cards! I hope someday that I need a business card for branding myself. I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to make them now, but I’m no good at that kind of stuff. Just stumbled upon your blog, but it’s completely adorable! :) Have a lovely day!

    • Thank you so much for leaving such a sweet comment & I’m sure you make some pretty awesome coffee :) Even though I was a barista for so many years.. I still struggled with proportions on a normal coffee pot.. it really makes no sence. haha. & thank you, I really do love my business cards too.. & yes, It’s never too early.. I am just little me & I’m sure some people think it’s rediculous that I need business cards, but I am determined to make my place in the world one little step at a time :) Thanks again!!

    • Awesome! I’m so glad you found me.. & I have loved my Keurig more and more each day.. You should for sure get one :) Thanks again & I hope to hear what you think of my blog when you are done exploring!
