Ever since my last DIY Dresser to Shelves makeover
which you can see {here} I have been itching to
do another one. This past week I found a dresser
that was going to be thrown away, & I decided
to give him {yes, it’s a boy} a second chance at
being a useful little dresser…
This little boy was looking a little rough & was missing one
drawer. But he had a good shape & I knew that a missing
drawer was a good opportunity to make some dresser
shelves…
I decided to cover the shelves with burlap to
add to the rustic beachy feel of the antique blue finish.
This dresser didn’t have any hardware, so I added
my own.. & these antique brass ones were
the perfect fit!
This dresser would be a great entertainment center, storage in
a bedroom, sofa table, or Great for an entryway table.. there is literally
endless possibilities.
The shelves are great for storage or displaying items.
So what do you think of my second Dresser to shelves makeover?
I am pretty excited that this one actually had drawers & shelves
together. Have you made over a dresser into shelves? How
did you do yours? I would love to see them.. Go link them
up on the facebook page {here} or leave a link below. You can
also tweet me the link or picture!
Talk to you soon…

I love love love it. You have quite a gift. What color blue is this? I am looking to paint walls in my house this color and am having an incredibly hard time finding something like this. Does it have a name or a brand? Thanks so much.

I love this! I’m working on my dresser and I need some help on what to do with the top layers of the dresser. You said “wrapped the shelves in burlap.” What did you use for the shelf part? I’m making a tv cabinet out of the dresser and I need more support for it to hold the dvd player. What did you use? Thanks!
nevermind, I see the link, thanks!
