Labor Day Insta-Vacay

We spent our labor day weekend in the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee & I thought I would give you a peek into our vacation via Instagram. It was so beautiful! I was like a little kid pointing out every mountain & beautiful site. It was our first time there & after a long weekend there with friends, I want to go back again next year! We stayed at a beautiful cabin in the mountains, and spent our days exploring Gatlinburgs tourist attractions, & basking in the nature around us & our nights enjoying the cabin, the hot tub, & time with friends. There are so many things we didn’t have time for, but we can save those for another time ;)  I reccomend that trip to everyone at least once in your life. I can’t wait to go back already….

How about that heart shaped tub? haha. Have you ever been to Gatlinburg before? I would love to hear about your trip & what you did & thought about it. I’m now obsessed with the mountains, and want to explore more mountain towns very soon! Ps. You can follow me on Instagram {Here @lizmariegalvan} for all of my life & DIY updates.

Talk to you soon…

  1. Gatlinburg is so, so fun!! I live near Nashville, so it’s not too far. Beautiful mountains and just a great place to visit. :)

    • I agree with you! I never knew how awesome it was.. we live about 6-7 hours away, so not a bad drive, It was for sure worth it!! & I’ve only ever driven through Nashville.. I need to visit there sometime too :)

  2. Our family used to go to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge all the time when I was younger but we resorted to going to the beach now. It would be so much fun to go with a group of friends now! Maybe we can find time to do that, it looks like so much fun!!

    • Yes! I think that made it extra fun being there with friends! My husband and I did talk about taking our future kids there someday and what we would do with them while we were there. You should for sure go back with some friends, I bet it would be very nostalgic for you now :)

  3. I {heart} Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! We live in the Knoxville area and just adore TN altogether. I’m glad you all had a good time.

  4. I’ve been with my Hubby a couple years before we had a baby, and all I can say is it is the best people-watching EVER. I like that you can get cabin pretty cheap, and there are a lot of redneck-fabulous things to do. Ya know, if you like redneck-fabulous. :)

  5. Welcome to our neck of the woods (I live in Knoxville) :) The cabins/mountains really are a GREAT place to stay. We’ve done a spring break trip there, family christmas, and soon a friends birthday. Some favorites are ice skating/ski lifts at Ober Gatlinburg, the Lumberjack Feud in Pigeon Forge, and Adventure Quest is a good price/fun for mirror maze/mini golf/etc. I’ve heard that the Partridge and the Pear is a good place to eat…we’ve done Mellow Mushroom with friends. Oh, and don’t forget the Tanger Outlets!! :) Come again soon! :P

    • O my goodness! I should have posted about the trip before we went.. these things all sound wonderful! I will have to remember all of this for our next trip.. thanks so much for all of the info. Thank you!!! :)

  6. I’m orginially from Southwest Virginia, about an hour and a half from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Each summer we would go there, and for dozens of school trips. I miss home so much; it’s so different being here in Havelock. Thanks so much for sharing your vacation pictures. It warmed my heart. :)

    • That’s awesome that you are from that area! Havelock is way different from the mountains.. I know how you feel. We are from Michigan and NC in general is way different… I guess you just have to find the good things about where you live wherever you go :) I’m glad you liked the post!

  7. LOVE following you on IG so I get these glimpses along the way! I’m sure you saw my weekend IG spamming, we also went on a little trip…to Cali! Glad you had a great weekend, thanks for sharing! xo
