Gallery Wall Beginnings

If you follow me on Pinterest, here on the blog, facebook, instagram, basicly any form of social media, you know that I am obsessed with gallery walls. Especially lately. There’s a reason for it! We have this spot in our house that is begging for a corner gallery wall. It finally began today, I knew I wouldn’t complete it because a gallery wall to me is a big deal. Others may take it lightly, but for me it’s like a two day thing that I sit and think about. It’s a big process. Do you think I’m crazy yet? I just love a good gallery wall. Anyways, before I babble on about how much I love gallery walls today I just wanted to show you the beginning of the gallery wall because of course it’s not complete yet. I’m hoping tomorrow to finish it up & fill the frames. I’m crossing my fingers I love it. Do you ever have that feeling during a project that you get scared you will hate it. I have it every time. It’s no fun. Here’s what I’m working with right now…

So I have always wanted to do a corner gallery wall here in the living room, but I have never been brave enough to do it. Until now. My one big thing is I wanted it to be eclectic. I didn’t wan it to look like I went out in one day to buy frames for the wall, so I have been collecting them for some time now. In the final post I will list where I purchased all the frames, prints, & photos. I wanted to wrap the gallery wall around to include the DIY metal deer head mount as well. another challenge. Seems easy, but I slowly realized it’s hard to include something that’s somewhat “permanent”. Anyways more on that later as well. Here is a little bit of inspiration, of course mine will be very Liz Marie, but this just makes my love for corner gallery walls grow…

I kind of hate showing you these gallery walls because mine is so different from these, but you get the idea of where we are going with our gallery wall. We had our collection sitting in a pile ready to hang today & here is a few items that will be included.

DIY corner gallery wall -

  1. While again not my style, I think it is such a cute idea. I love that you plan things before jumping in to doing it. Most people don’t and what has potential to be a great idea just falls flat. I can’t wait to see when you are finished. Is this at the new house or the one you are selling?

  3. I love corner galleries and kind of have one myself. I love your collection of things to hang, I just hope you will add some personal photographs of your hubby and your own beautiful self- I find that adds the best spark to anything, the touch of the people that live there!
Cant wait to see your finished result!
And Liz, you inspire me EVERY day! thank you so much for the ongoing inspiration and ideas you provide me with!

I love all things gallery wall related! I can’t believe I have never thought of a corner gallery wall. I am now on the search in my home to create a corner gallery. My poor husband has a heart attack whenever I mention picture hanging time and it’s a gallery concept. He is so mathematically oriented that he can’t visualize the slight randomness of a gallery. Thank you for the great idea, and my husband thanks you too!

  12. You make me want a corner gallery wall now! You have the perfect spot for it and your collection is gorgeous! Can’t wait to see the finished product :-)

  13. I loooooooove where you are going with this, can’t wait to see how it turns out!!
