A Simple Merry Christmas Porch

Simple Rustic Christmas Porch - lizmarieblog.com

Merry Christmas eve!! I know I am so late on sharing my Christmas porch this year, but better late than never right? This year we went really simple with our Christmas decor outside. With a few blankets, pillows, a vintage marquee light, & a few other accessories we decorated our twelve foot antique church pew for the holidays. To tell you the truth we usually go home for Christmas {Michigan} & so we do not have a huge collection of Christmas decor since we were usually gone for half of December. That is changing this year! Since we stayed back in North Carolina, I have collected some more Christmas decor & I’m excited to decorate our home in Michigan next year when we move back. I am not going to lie though, I was kind of sad when decorating our porch this year for Christmas because this time next year we will no longer be in this house & I will no longer have this big beautiful porch. {Our Michigan house doesn’t actually even have an actual porch. Hopefully that will change soon!} The holidays seem to make me more sentimental & I’m sure I’m not alone on that. ¬†Anyways, I didn’t mean to get all emotional with you, but as we approach the new year it means it’s the year we will be leaving our life in North Carolina & moving back to Michigan {You can read more about it here}. I can’t wait to share the whole journey with you, & you just wait there will be so many huge makeovers & DIY projects in that house, you might not be able to keep up ;) Now on to our simply rustic Merry Christmas Porch…

  1. Love the simplicity of your porch, looks more like a place somebody would like to sit down to visit on. Great post. Merry Christmas

  2. It’s beautiful. Looking forward to hearing about your move. My husband always jokes that I should have been a military wife since I seem to want to move every three years :) Hope y’all had a very happy Christmas!

    • hahaha I love love love that Tricia!! You would make a mighty fine Marine wife that’s for sure! We were so blessed to have lived here in NC for going on 7 years with no move! That is really rare in the military life.. now moving home is such a shock to me & leaving the military lifestyle. I will be sharing the move all this year & of course sharing more of our story & my heart on it. xx

  3. Love this very much! It looks so simple yet elegant with little pops of color to add that homemade touch. Awesome as always.

  4. Thank you so so much Laura! That means a lot!! xx

  5. Cute porch! I love the rustic bench!
