A Small Change In The Christmas Dining Room

So, remember that DIY pom holiday pom-pom light fixture that I made for our Christmas dining room? Well, it was bugging me. The pom-poms kept falling down & I had to re-tape them quite a few times. I finally took the pom-poms down after being irritated by it.Don’t get me wrong I loved the pom garland on the light fixture, but I couldn’t stand taping it all the time. I thought I would show the dining room as it looked this morning with out the pom-pom light fixture. & I know it wasn’t some people’s favorite thing so you may like it better now.

So, here is the dining room the other day with the pom-pom fixture. & below it is this morning with out the pom-pom light fixture. I know the lighting was better in the first photo, but you get the idea ;)

I also made a few other changes as well. I added the pom garland to the centerpiece & I also purchased some lovely black & white woodland plates & added those to the dining table as well. I’m a little obsessed with the plates & love how they add some more charm to the table.

So what do you think? I was a little sad to get rid of the festive pom pom light fixture, but I like the poms in the centerpiece too. Even our Christmas decor is forever evolving day by day, nothing in this house stays the same for long haha. I hope you guys are having a great week & be sure to check out more of our Christmas DIY projects & reveals below. 1. Sharon McGuire says:

I think the centerpiece is so lovely that the pom poms are unnecessary. Like fashion, take away one accessory.

  2. I think it was a good modification! It isn’t worth the hassle to keep doing something over and over. Looks just as great!

  3. Those woodland plates are beautiful! The compliment the rest of your table so well!! And I’ve totally had projects like the pompom garland that were more of a pain than they’re worth! They look cute on the table, so I think it all worked out! Hope you’re having a great week, Liz Marie!
