Middle Guest Bedroom Makeover – Almost Done!

Seriously, sometimes I feel like I confuse you guys so much as to what is going on in our house. We are basically making over every room in our home right now, getting read to sell this house, working on so many projects, & who knows what else. Kudos to those who can keep up! Mind getting me up to speed on things too? haha no seriously though. This middle guest bedroom  has always been one of my least favorite rooms in the house. I felt like it was dark & I had no direction for the space. Well, guess what? It’s almost done now! I need to add a few more things like a rug & some more linens. Also those curtains? Those are drop clothes that are not trimmed or hemmed. I don’t even know if they are permanent in this space, but for now they work. I am so excited that this middle guest bedroom makeover is almost done!

The room is almost done! What do you think so far? We hung the pendants from Target this past weekend, we made that little side table {tutorial coming soon}, put some legs on our antique trunk, hung some artwork, & completed a lot of other little details as well. The before & afters & all of the details will be coming soon. Stay tuned for the tutorials & be sure to let me know what you think so far! Leave a comment below, find me on facebook, or chat with me on Instagram. xx Liz Marie

  1. I absolutely LOVE this room, especially those pendants!! Lovely. I may have to buy those as well. I’m stuck on my master bedroom. I’m loving bright, white spaces, but this room originally started out as white and I HATED it. I’m thinking a deep purple (it’s currently a decent mid tone gray) but we shall see. (Don’t mind my site if you or anyone decides to visit — if it doesn’t load, it’s because I just updated to the new and permanent domain as part of my rebranding process).

  2. This is is soooo peaceful. I love the mix of white and timbers. I’m about to move into a new rental and this is the type of look I’m trying to achieve. Love it!

  3. It is very pretty. Your tone on tone is very nice. It is hard to make white/cream a color and not look bland.

  4. You are so very clever and talented. I love seeing your sneak peaks and all the updates and changes to your home. The Guest room looks wonderful. It’s so hard to make a white room feel cozy but you nailed it! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

  5. Love the simple feel of the room…and am looking forward to your tutorial on your bedside table…

  6. Kim R. Dykman says:

Love Love the trunk! What a great addition….the room looks warm and inviting.

  7. Ahh! That trunk though! My boyfriend just redid an old trunk we found for me, but yours is amazing! I LOVE what you’ve down with this room! :)

  8. Love it! Please come to Missouri and help me! :)

  9. Gorgeous room Liz! Makes me want to run home and grab a glue gun (or hammer) and some scissors and get to work.

  10. Very lovely!!! Love all the pretty neutral colors!! :) Happy sweet day! xx Holly

  11. I’m really inspired by this room! The pendants are my favorite along with the color scheme and tones!!

  12. Laci Ward says:

Ahh can’t stop staring at the pictures..beautiful! What is the paint color?

  13. Absolutely LOVE all of the vintage elements in this room! Keep up the great work…

  14. Looks amazing, as usual. :)

  15. Stacey in Michigan says:

Yes, please share the paint color! Love what you’ve done! I have had one of those letterpress drawers sitting in my basement for 19 years… Because I never had anything to put in it…I love yours with NOTHING in it! Thanks for the idea!

  16. Gorgeous! I love the monochromatic scheme with the warm wood tones. Will you share where you found the hex pillows on the bed?

  17. LOVE it. I am so inspired by your home and all of your projects! I came across your blog less than 48 hours ago and have already completed the DIY cake stand for soaps and put my husband to work on designing a new DIY media table. Love it all!

  18. So serene and pretty!

  19. I love it! Those target lights are awesome :)

  20. That white & wood dresser gets me every time…I love it! This space looks amazing.

  21. So, so beautiful! I always love the way you use neutrals! You’ll have some lucky, lucky guests! :-D Hope you’re having a great week, Liz Marie!

  22. Looks great! Would love to know where you got those geometric pillows. Love love love those!

  23. I love what you have done with this room. Love everything about it. I can’t believe how much work you are going to transformingt he house….just to sell it…I wouldn’t want to let it go!

  24. I love old widows! The room looks good with all the neutral colors :)

  25. Love how you used the old windows above the bed – this whole room is just amazing!

  26. What a lovely room, I love the simplicity of it, but it’s clean and comfy looking. Love the pendants. I want a white bedroom and will use your room as inspiration.

  27. What a lovely, airy room! It looks like it’s not all that big size-wise, but because of how you’ve decorated it, it looks so open! I want to do something similar… hmmmmm….. :)

  28. Such a great room and I love the lighting , so vintage.

  29. There are so many things I love about this room!!! Those hanging lights are the coolest! The round basket, turtle and trunk, as well as the wooden slats art beside it. In love. And the wire basket with the blanket. + every single detail of the dresser corner. I wish you were coming to my house next! :)

  30. Such a beautiful room… Love it!

  31. Love this room! So calming with just the right amount of vintage.

  32. That headboard? Insanely cool! Modern and rustic all in one! Beautiful!
