New Master Bedroom Lamps

High end look for less - lizmarieblog.com
It’s been a long few months of staging our little house which has been actually not too crazy & exciting because let’s face it, when you are staging, you are neutralizing. One of the rooms we really had to neutralize was our master bedroom. Our master bedroom before was a bold rustic cottage vibe with a large wooden wall headboard as the main focal point. While neutralizing the room I also changed out some of the old accessories like the lamps. I wanted something large & chunky to replace the old metal reading lamps that were on the nightstands. Everything I found online, like this high end lamp, was way over my lamp budget, so I searched good old Target & found the same look I was going for for a lot less!

Not a coincidence that our last master bedroom lamps were also from Target. But when we were neutralizing the room I just felt like these lamps were too small & with the room being so neutral & bare now I wanted more of large statement lamp. I also felt like the new lamps from Target were pretty neutral and classic & would go in our next two houses {Rental & Michigan house}. That’s my thought at least. What do you think?

I think the higher end lamp & the target lamp look pretty similar & if you liked the studs that are on the higher end lamp you could even DIY the Target lamp & add your own studs. Super easy! & if your lamp budget is my lamp budget, I’m pretty sure I know what option you would choose ;) Also, at Target when you buy the lamp base, you pick your own lamp shade as well so you could go with whatever pattern, texture, color, & size you like. I chose a solid linen lamp shade for this room to stay neutral of course.

I will be back later with the final master bedroom tour as part of our final “goodbye tour” of our North Carolina home. You can see the beginning of the “goodbye tour” {here}. I’ll also be back with posts on how we neutralized our home & how we sold our home so fast as well. What do you think of the new lamps? Have you seen these at Target? Which lamp do you like better their lamp or my lamp? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, or chat with me on Instagram! xx

  1. Yours of course! I could/would not let myself ever spend $500 + on a lamp.
    Great job!

  2. I honestly like the shape of yours better! Can’t wait to see the final tour!

  3. I like how all the colors in your room work together, and the Target lamps you used look perfect. I actually like them better than the high end lamp. I just used a Target lamp in a office design – I love it. I got the clear glass base with the cream shade that has brown floral stitching on it. So pretty!

I think your lamps from Target are perfect in your master bedroom. Actually, they look better than the Target lamps. The studs are a bit too much. Your lamps are more gracious and pleasing to the eye. Thanks for the tips. I m now going to revamp my master bedroom.

  5. I like your lamp much more than the higher end. Even if the other lamp looked better (which it doesn’t) the price makes it look ugly. :) Love your lamp and the old window…and everything you’re doing!

  6. They are perfect! I love the neutral look!

The windows behind them are the perfect, touch!

love the lamps! what size did you get? my target only had the small and the large were $40. i’ve been wanting them for my bedroom!

  8. I love your lamps the best! I look at those at Target all the time. I’ve loved watching you decorate this house and can’t wait to see what you do with the next one!

I also love your lamps much better than high end lamp. Where do they think up those prices?
If people have nothing else to spend their money on. To me it’s more fun finding a deal and making it look high end. Could always paint your new lamps at some point. Love em. I’ll have to look more closely next time I get into Target. It’s hard to concentrate on much with a grumpy old man along hurrying me past the good stuff. Happy Easter

  10. It’s amazing designed for me to have a web site, which is beneficial in support of my know-how.
    thanks admin
