DIY Coffee Cart

When we moved into our rental a couple weeks ago I wasn’t in love with our kitchen. Since it was a rental there wasn’t much I could do about that, but I wanted to create a happy coffee corner, because let’s face it, making coffee & tea is usually the only thing I am making in the kitchen. & guess what? I have never shared the bar cart I scored on clearance at Target with all of you. Why have I never shared such an amazing find? I don’t know! The DIY coffee cart corner isn’t finished yet, but it’s done for now & I couldn’t wait to share. I even noticed a bunch of cup rings on it & some coffee grounds, but you know what that just means it’s been loved, used, & I wanted to keep it real around here. You will NEVER believe how cheap this lovely little cart was.

Would you believe me if I told you I got this cart for $30? I do not remember the original price, but I believe it was was $150-ish, & our Target put it on clearance this past December. I know I still see some people around the country who still have these carts in their stores, so just keep any eye out! I have had the cart ever since, but have never really done anything with it. Now it’s a happy little corner that I come to every morning to make my cup of chai tea.

The setup for the coffee cart is pretty simple. On the top I have a glass jar full of teas, coffee pods, & anything to be used in the keurig. The keurig is always on waiting to make a hot cup of tea, & the two creamers and sugar dishes are for holding spoons and sugar. On the bottom shelf is my coffee cups, a ceramic container with coffee grounds, a jar of honey, & of course a little succulent. Usually my french press is on the bottom shelf as well, but it was being washed when I took most of these photos today.

The glass jar filled with K-cups & tea bags works so perfectly for me. It’s easy for me to see everything & also gives my guests easy access to options for drinks. I highly recommend storing  your keurig items like this! Oh & by the way my glass jar is from Walmart. They are super cheap there & it’s the best place I have found them.

There is my lovely used coffee cart as it looked today while I was making the family a cup of tea. I will be back soon with more updates {a good cleaning haha} & a little change up in this corner. Also, the DIY for the artwork will be on the blog this week as well. What do you think of the coffee cart corner so far? Not bad for being in this house for a couple of weeks. I hope that you all had a great memorial day weekend. Let me know what you think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram! xx
