DIY Wrapping Paper Art

DIY wrapping paper art - Use wrapping paper scraps to create cheap & easy DIY art for the holidays! Would be great to cover up art in gallery walls, place on mantels, & more! Would work great for any season with seasonal wrapping paper.
I was at a blogging event last week in a cute little shop downtown here in Grand Rapids called Rebel Reclaimed. I love shopping small & local as much as possible even though you know I love my Marshalls & Target, but nothing would  ever beat those cute little local boutiques owned by creatives. I bought a lot of cute little things there the other day including a key chain that may have a bad word on it. Hey, I love Jesus, but I do cuss a little bit. My favorite thing I got while shopping there though was this wonderful wrapping paper that I just had to have. Because I like wrapping gifts? Wrong. I actually hate wrapping gifts because I’m so bad at it. I’m more of a gift bag kind of girl. I got it to make some DIY wrapping paper art with it & I’m pretty obsessed…

I mean. The cutest wrapping paper ever right? This is literally the most easy DIY art ever. & the wrapping paper made it easier on me. My plan was to roll the wrapping paper out & cut it to the size that I wanted, but to my surprise it was already pre-cut into sheets. *ANGELS SINGING* I didn’t even have to cut anything, that makes this lazy girls day. I took one of the pre-made sheets off of the roll of wrapping paper & I lined it up on my antique window that I had in my garage. I attached the sheet of wrapping paper on to the window with double-sided tape. Don’t laugh at how easy this project is… just go and do it for your Christmas decor.. like now! This wrapping paper is rifle paper co. [here]  just for reference if you want to find it for yourself & you are not local to me.

I placed this art in our entryway on our lockers that I still need to fix up. Hey, that seems like a good job in January right? But this would be so cute hanging in a gallery wall covering other photos just for the season, or on a mantel, or basically anywhere. This art cost be a total of $7 some dollars, but not really because I used only one sheet. So, I’m going to say that it cost me less than a dollar. Yes, cheap, adorable, Christmas art made from wrapping paper. I’m in love. Now, since Jose [craftsmandrive.com] does most of our Christmas wrapping because he’s awesome at it, I  hope he likes wrapping gifts with this lovely paper. Love you babe!

L.O.V.E. your blog and today’s entry hit home as we have two things in common:

    1. I, too, use wrapping paper in unexpected ways.
    2. And I also have a husband who does all the wrapping as I am seriously challenged in this area.

    Have a wonderful holiday!
