I shared on Instagram this week that I am kind of sick of the house being cold and lifeless. I mean, it could be the fact that 90% of it is torn up and under construction, but the 10% that isn’t in demo mode & is looking decent needs some life. So, i asked if you guys would be mad if I started slowly bringing spring into our house.. most of you that responded said you would be perfectly fine with it. I felt inspired tonight by all the spring talk so I decided to gather up some awesome farmhouse potted plants for you guys tonight from various places from Pottery Barn to Target to Amazon. You can shop the plants by clicking the corresponding numbers below the large collage or the individual photos below that. I only selected 10 of my favorites because let’s face it.. I could keep going until 2am, but this lady needs to head to the shop tomorrow & work! So goodnight & I truly hope this post helps you get inspired for spring & helps you find some greenery for your homes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by the blog today & for sharing my blog with your friends and family.. It means the world to me!! Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for more behind the scenes. xx

I’ve been seeing a huge trend lately of lots of watercolor blues everywhere in decor & I love the calming effect a simple splash of that blue can give to a space. Today while I was out running errands I saw some lovely cottag-ey blues & knew that I wanted to share the trend with you guys today on the blog to see what your think. I looked online tonight & I was able to find some affordable calm blue cottage bedroom decor from Target. I gathered up some lovely blue decor & styled an entire bedroom design around them. It honestly has me craving summer & having the windows open with the breeze blowing through the curtains. For some reason these blues always have me thinking of the sea. I really love the calming effect of the different tones of blues & it is one color that I love using in our farmhouse as well. What do you think of this blue trend? Do you use it in your home? What do you think of this bedroom design? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram about it! Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by the blog today!! xx
So yesterday I blogged my new chunky wool blanket from Modern Wool [HERE] that I had purchased recently. I chose to share it because I’m obsessed with the blanket, the quality, the look, & everything about it. It truly brought a lot of joy to my holiday season & I was so happy to finally own something I had been looking at forever. They were even so kind to offer me a discount code that I could share with you guys [see discount code here]. I also know you guys know that I don’t share anything that I purchase if I don’t love it.. which is the best thing about blogging to share things with you that I love. I got a lot of comments about the price of the blankets & it’s so true that the chunky knit throws from Modern Wool reflect their superior quality. Honestly, I wish you could all feel it for yourself! On Instagram I was chatting with some lovely readers & they asked if I knew of any chunky wool throws that were a little cheaper than the one I featured, & of course I wanted to find some for you guys because I know not everyone wants to spend a lot on a blanket. I found 10 more affordable ones & shared them above [you can click the corresponding number below the large collage or the individual photos below the numbers to go to the listing of each blanket]. The only thing is about these chunky wool blankets, is that I can’t share my review of their quality or how amazing they are because I don’t own them. These chunky wool blankets above are all still from small handmade shops which I love supporting & I hope that this list helps you if you were looking for an affordable chunky wool blanket. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today & for sharing this with your family & friends. Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for more behind the scenes of our farm life. xx
We had the BEST Christmas celebrating with family & friends.. it almost doesn’t seem quite possible that it’s already over. I always think this week in between Christmas and New Years is so awkward. Like It’s not quite the new year where everything feels fresh & new, & we are still in the Christmas mood, but not really? I don’t know what to do with myself ever. Call me crazy, but I like to take down my Christmas decor the week after Christmas & begin my new year cleaning a little early. Of course last year I was busy opening up a store & this year we are busy moving to our new location which is keeping me super busy, but I’m also taking the week to reflect on the past year which also means me reflecting what happened here on the blog as well. Today I wanted to take a look back at some design boards, mood boards, & favorite things boards that I put together in 2016 & gather a few of my favorites for you. I blog my mood boards & finds here on the blog & it allows me to sometimes get what is going on in my mind out in the open. I love sharing them with you guys & I hope that they help inspire you in some way. You can now find all of my past & future design boards [HERE] I’m still trying to add them all, but you can now find them all there. Here are some that I loved in 2016 just click the link below each photo to visit the full post…
These were just a few of my favorites from this past year & I hope that you enjoyed them! I hope to share many more in 2017 & hope to inspire you even more in the new year. I hope you all had an amazing Christmas & that you enjoy this awkward week in between the two holidays… I’m going to really try to find the key to balance in the next week before 2017 comes.. it’s going to be a great year. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog & for inspiring to keep sharing. Be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram for behind the scenes. xx
I can’t tell you how bad I am at telling people what I want for christmas or even making a gift list for myself for anything… I don’t want anything! From the time I was little I always wanted one thing & that was my list I gave my parents. To this day I won’t give a list to anyone because it makes me feel weird & I hate asking for things… BUT if I were to give a list this Christmas these would be a few things that I would love. Funny thing is, I could have kept going when making this “things I love list” & this is only the beginning. I gathered a few of these things that I love that I knew you guys would love too & may help you either give a Christmas list to your loved ones for yourself or shop for that farmhouse loving person on your list. You can shop the items in the words below the large collage or by clicking the individual photos below that. I also included some more items in the individual photos that I didn’t include in the collage because again, I couldn’t stop. I hope this helps some of you… PS. send this post to your man so they get a hint of what you want. But really, thank you for stopping by the blog today & be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram to follow along with me. & who knows, I might be back with another gift guide very soon before Christmas! xx
Can I be honest with you? I planned on coming on here tonight & sharing a new piece of furniture that Jose built. But guess what happened? The election. That’s what happened. I didn’t think I would get so caught up in it & get so filled with anxiety, but I did. I prayed, I ate a lot of food, I put up a Christmas tree in our sunroom, & now I’m doing the last thing that always works to get my mind off things… online shopping. So as I’m sitting here in my PJ’s drinking hot cocoa & periodically checking on the results I’m shopping at the happiest place on earth.. Target.. for the happiest pattern on earth.. plaid! I gathered some of my favorite plaid items to share with you guys & I hope it cheers you up today too! I love adding pops of plaid in my Christmas and winter decor & I just love how it instantly makes the room cozy with texture and Just remember, no matter who wins.. God is in control & that’s pretty comforting doesn’t it? You can shop these items by clicking the names of the items below the photo or by clicking the individual photos of the items above. Thank you guys so much for stopping by my happy place today & be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram to follow along with me. xx
Since it’s November & I posted my first Christmas decor post here on the blog yesterday, naturally I went to one of my favorite home decor stores online & did some browsing in their Christmas section. My first step was H&M & I was so shocked at how much holiday decor I found under $25 so I had to share. I mean, are you kidding? That merry & Bright mug? Those large crates are metal & fabulous & those ornaments start at $3 for two of them. H&M might be the best place to shop this holiday season! Have you ever shopped H&M’s home section before? Their pillow covers & cushions are pretty much the best & for the price, the quality of the items are amazing. I couldn’t keep these deals to myself so I hope you guys enjoyed this glimpse at H&M’s holiday decor. You can shop the items above by clicking on the descriptions below the photo or the individual photos above. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram. xx
This week Jose and I started talking about our master bedroom here in the farmhouse. You guys, when we start re-doing our bedroom it’s going to be so hard to decide what direction to go. Our last bedroom was super light & airy & I loved it, but I wanted to do something different in this house. We are just in the planning stages, but I thought I would give you a sneak peek into our planning process as I put together some mood boards for us to get inspiration from. Today I gathered some items from Wayfair [randomly started with that website because it’s been a while since I’ve shopped on wayfair] & I put together a more dramatic rustic & cozy bedroom. I love the dark furniture pieces like the upholstered bed mixed with the raw wood tones & cozy textures. That light fixture is also calling my name. I love the large wood nightstands for each side of the bed & the upholstered high back bench for the end of the bed as well. I think my most favorite thing was that rustic wood mantel shelf because it looks like authentic salvage. You can shop the items by clicking the words below the photo & also by clicking the individual photos above. Do you love this darker cozy master bedroom? What is your favorite part? Let me know what you think of this cozy rustic master bedroom in the comments below, on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today & for sharing it with your friends & family.. it means so much! xx
Oh my goodness guys! I’m fresh off the plane from Waco visiting Magnolia Market & exhausted from an amazing trip. You can see a ton of photos and my thoughts while I was there on my Instagram [here]. I wanted to share about my trip with you all today here on the blog, but I want to get to sleep before I do so I can gather my thoughts & share them with you. While I was in the hotel room in Waco I was browsing online & saw that Target had a whole new casual farmhouse line & I was impressed with how unique these items were so I had to share them with you guys. There are a few items I think I need to try like the trophies and the black pitcher. I also have my eye on those mugs & a few other items. What is your favorite? You can see the items on the target website by clicking the words below the large photo or the small individual photos of the items. This collection I shared today is the new one at Target from The Beekman Boys & it’s called the 1802 Farmhouse collection. Anyways, I thought it would be fun to gather up a few of my favorites and share them with you.. I hope you enjoyed! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! xx
I did a post a while back on farmhouse decor from Amazon [here] & I just can’t stop looking there for decor ever since. I still want to spread the word that you can find farmhouse decor for your home just about anywhere. Anywhere from Target, Home Goods, & now even Amazon.Today I wanted to take the challenge & find an entire living room design all from Amazon & this is what I came up with. Trust me, I could have kept going & I could have picked a million things, but for today these are the farmhouse items I picked. All of these items are things I either have or what love in our farmhouse. In every room we have some sort of jute rug & we all know I love a good slipcovered sofa & neutral tufted chairs. I provided the links below the collage & I also included the individual photos of each item that you can shop just by clicking on the photo. I get asked daily where I find a lot of our cottage style & farmhouse style items & this is a great place to start. & if you are looking for a neutral style living room, then I truly hope this room design I did tonight inspires you in some small way! Have you purchased any farmhouse decor from Amazon? What is your favorite item that I posted about today? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today & for following our journey daily. xx

Hey! I went shopping for you again. If you have a hard time finding things from chairs, to dressers, to wreaths, & beyond.. I love doing these shopping posts for you guys because I’m always looking online for these items so I might as well share them! Today we got some of our dining room chairs in the mail that I will be blogging about very soon, but I wanted two accent slipcovered dining chairs to have at the ends of the dining table so I went hunting online & found some that I like. Some of the ones I share above are simply just the slipcovers & some are the full chair & slipcover combo. If you are needing a chair to put the slipcovers on, I really like [these] from World Market. I love the slipcovered look to add texture & coziness to a space & also to break up all the wood & metal I tend to use in my spaces. I have personally had the world market ones shown above & the Ikea ones & love them both. I may just stick with the classics or break it up a little. You can shop the chairs with my affiliate links listed above or click on the individual photos of the chairs to go directly to the website. How do you guys feel about slipcovered dining chairs? Do you have them in your home?
Here are the World Market slipcovered chairs [here] in our last house & I still love them so! We are now using them at our desk which I will share later on the blog, but who knows we might end up with the same ones again for our new dining room. Updates to come! Be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram for first looks at all our rooms & new changes & as always, THANK YOU for stopping by my blog daily to see what we are up to. xx
Happy Friday!! I wanted to start your weekend off with a little online shopping post because who doesn’t love ending a long week with some retail therapy? Want to know what inspired today’s blog post?! The fact that our house is tore up & I can’t decorate or accessorize so I thought I would live through you guys & find you some amazing decor.. how does that sound? I’m not complaining at all, but you guys! I’m itching to decorate our new farmhouse! I am having a lot of fun with demo & painting [you can see more by clickinig here], but decorating is going to be the icing on the cake. I wanted to find some lovely & simple farmhouse inspired items so I naturally went to my favorite, Target, & found some amazing farmhouse decor that I really loved & compiled them all for you today in one post. I love everything from that white pitcher that is perfect for floral in any season to the farmhouse wall clock to the cozy pouf & throw. I want it all! I’m thinking that scale would look amazing on our coffee table so I might just have to go ahead and get that. Anyways…. I wanted to share my online shopping adventure with you from my late night web browsing. I hope you love this farmhouse decor as much as me & be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram to see what I end up getting from this list. Thank you, as always, for stopping by my little blog. So if you have not been living under a rock, you know that it’s that time of year again, The Nordstrom sale. It’s big, it’s awesome, & it’s once a year. People freak out and for good reason. There are some awesome deals. I feel like most people go after the clothing & shoes, but you know I had to check it out & see what kind of home decor deals there were. So, I gathered 14+ items on the nordstrom sale that I loved & shared them on here with you today. My suggestion check out the rugs [here] because there are some awesome deals on rugs & the Dash & Albert ones are my favorite!! I was actually surprised at how much home decor was on the anniversary sale so I would for sure head on over & see if there is anything you need. I have been thinking about lighting A LOT lately for our farmhouse. I don’t even know where to begin so I haven’t begun at all to tell the truth. I decided I would start getting lighting options & putting them here on the blog so as we start working on rooms, we have them here ready for us to pick out. This week I have really been looking at barn lights as an option in our dining room & kitchen. One thought is to have a series of three barn lights hanging above our dining room table. This of course isn’t a final decision, but an idea that has been brewing in my mind. I think any of these options I shared from various sources today would look great alone or in groups. The problem? I love them all for different reasons. That hunter green one, the mint, the copper, the charcoal, I mean.. I love them all. You can go to the source of the lights by clicking the corresponding numbers below the photo or the individual photos. Which one is your favorite? Do you like the idea of us using a set of three of these in the dining room? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Also, find me on Pinterest [here] to follow along with all of my pins for the farmhouse. xx

We are still in the middle of working on our sunroom, but up next will be our kitchen makeover. That will be a HUGE ONE & I can’t wait, but for now we are still just dreaming. One of the things among many is debating on whether or not to have barstools at our kitchen island. Such a small detail, but a fun one to think about in my spare time while we slowly work on the sunroom. I would love your opinions on which of these farmhouse stools that I found while doing some online shopping is your favorite…
You can shop each of the barstools by clicking the words below the photo or by clicking the individual images of the stools above. I could have kept finding more barstools, but I figured that these were some of the best farmhouse style options & I loved a lot of them for our own kitchen. Which ones can you see in our new farmhouse?? If you haven’t seen the tour of our farmhouse before we start working on it you can take the tour [here]. Which ones would you pick for yourself if any of them? & if you love some that I didn’t show, give me your suggestions in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today & for following us on our journey. xx
The one thing that has made moving into our dream farmhouse so special besides the fact that it’s a dream come true, is all of the support & love we have received from all of you guys. Whether it’s on Instagram, Facebook, here on the blog, messages, & even in person, we have really been feeling the love & we are SO THANKFUL. I’m serious. Not going to lie, even though we are truly living our dream life has been a little hectic lately & finding balance has been an uphill battle, but you guys cheering us on, being happy with us, following our journey, & showing constant support has kept me going & meant the world to me. THANK YOU. I can’t say it enough or put into words how it makes me feel when I get comments of people being excited for us & excited about the farm… you guys have become this big family of ours & I love that we get to share this journey with you. Another amazing & unexpected part of this move is the generosity of you guys not only taking time out of your day to write us, but we have also received a few house warming gifts that I will always treasure. This week we got some farmhouse pillows from The Dotted Bow & Jen’s gift to us made me feel even more excited about our new farmhouse adventure…
I mean. Stop right? Just stop. Were these pillows made specifically for me? YES. I do dream of all of those things & everyday I say “Home Sweet Farmhouse” to Jose. I was so giddy when I oped these up. I not only love what they say, but I love the rustic white fabric & fonts she used as well. You can find the Home Sweet Farmhouse pillow [here] & the I dream of pillow [here]. & until July 16th Jen wanted to give you a housewarming gift as well & she is giving all of you 15% off her shop [here] using code: LIZMARIE. I just browsed her etsy shop & she has some super cute farmhouse decor & I hope you guys enjoy the coupon code.
She also sent us this reclaimed wood heart that she made, so I have it on our coffee table for now, because you know.. moving problems. This is literally the only corner of our home that is done in the whole house. But more on that later.
These pillows are pretty much my new favorite addition to our little sunroom & I’m so thankful for such a kind gesture by a fellow creative & wonderful maker. Jen you are so sweet… thank you! & thank you to all of you for sharing in our excitement. eeeeek. It doesn’t seem real. Maybe because we haven’t slowed down for a second to sit and think about it. Speaking of which.. it’s 1am & I need to sleep before opening the store tomorrow. Be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram for behind the scenes look at our farmhouse adventures. & rememebre to use code: LizMarie for 15% off at The Dotted Bow etsy shop. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today!! xx
