So a while back I had started redoing our home “office”. After adding a desk, a chair, and a stocked craft closet {Here}. I slowly realized that I never used the room for an office. Don’t get me wrong, I would be lost with out the craft closet, but I never used the desk & it just became a place to set junk. Yup, not having it. So we got the desk out of their & I wanted to make it into a guest room, but a versatile guest room. I came across an old ugly light blue day bed for $10 & had a great idea. The day bed not only acts as a bed for guests, but also a place to sit, nap, and read. It’s so cozy! It also doesn’t take up a lot of space so that the room can be used for other things. Reminds me of Step Brothers, “There is so much room for activities!” 😉
I don’t have any before pictures, but just picture this day bed in the worse
shade of light blue you can imagine & there you have it.. the before!
You may remember those drawers under the bed as the dog beds I made {here}
a while back for my naughty little shitzus, but they barely used them because they only
like to be cuddled up with us, so now they are used as storage under the bed.
I actually spray painted this bed a black color because I wanted the wrought iron look in the room.
I love how it turned out, & It gave me a direction to go in the room….
I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Do you have a daybed in your home?
I am pretty much obsessed with them & I’m loving how this one turned out!
I’m excited to finish the rest of the room & show it to you. Share your thoughts in
