One of my favorite items to decorate with is antique books. I love the worn colors, the textures, the tattered corners & the yellowing pages. They are great for creating vignettes, adding levels to your decor, & adding that perfect eclectic touch to any space. I usually find my antique books at local antique stores & flea markets, but I have a great tips for you if you are having a hard time finding some….
Have you seen books like these hardcover books with the paper cover {That’s called a dust jacket, did you know that? I didn’t either until I googled it 😉 } Anyways, if you look under those dust jackets you will most likely find some lovely hardcover books that you can use in your decor…
They may not be as antiqued, but the colors & textures are just as amazing & you can find these books for very cheap { I got all of these for FREE!}
I am constantly mixing up our TV console in our living room & right now I chose to display some of my lovely books along with my DIY distressed drawers {here}.
I’m forever throwing books on our coffee table to display a frame or a candle. I love the look of books on a coffee table, I feel like they belong there.
O, and this is a sneak peek of our master bedroom re-do! Here are some books in our master bedroom. I instagramed this picture {here} here earlier today as a little tease. Room reveal coming soon!
Do you share an antique book obsession with me? I can’t be the only one who enjoys looking at these lovely vintage books.
