Do you ever have that piece of furniture sitting around your house that you have been meaning to makeover for a long time? I have a bunch. I always wait for that perfect moment of motivation that comes when inspiration strikes for me to re-do a piece that I have been hoarding for a while. Enter $5 vintage desk chair. This piece has been sitting in my garage since last summer. I knew one day I would use it in some sort of office space in our home, but neglected to have an office space until recently. More on that space later. This week I did a quick makeover on the chair & I love that I have a cute & quirky little chair to work at now, & as a bonus, it’s super comfortable.
The fabric on the chair is from Hobby Lobby. For 2 yards I believe I payed around $7 with a coupon {Tip: get the Hobby Lobby app on your phone & they usually have a 40% off coupon on there for you to use} I used my staple gun to put the fabri onto the two cushions. I sanded the chair down & simply stained the wood with Minwax special walnut stain. The chair has lots of little imperfections, but that’s what steals my heart is all the wear and tear. It gives it character.
I’m loving how this chair looks for now in our space Knowing me it won’t stay like this forever, but because covering this chair was so easy, it’s an easy change if I ever want to & it won’t be too much of a tedious project. By changing out the fabric the whole look of the chair will be perfect now that the wood is restored. What do you think of this chair makeover? Do you like the fabric? I can’t wait to show you the rest of this space. Talk to you soon… linking to.
Update: You can now see the DIY desk that I made out of some old barstools {here}
You actually make it appear so easy together with your presentation but I in finding this
topic tto be really something which I believe I’d never understand.
It eems too complex and extremely extensive for me.
I amm having a look ahead in your subsequent post, I will attempt
tto get the grasp of it!
Why viewers still make use of to read news papers when in this technological globe
the whole thing is existing on net?
Looks great! I know this is a crazy question, but I’m gonna ask anyway, lol. I have an old upholstered very comfortable office chair that I bought at a flea market for $15 and my plan was to paint it because husband said the arms of the chair wouldn’t come off. I couldn’t tell by your pics, but did you disassemble the chair and remove the old fabric or did you cover it with the new fabric? Secretly, that’s what I’m hoping because it sure would make it a whole lot easier, lol.
Thanks so much!
Hello there! I understand this is sort of off topic but I was wondering
which blog platform are you using for this particular website?
I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had issues with hackers and I’m checking
out options for the next platform. I might be awesome
if you could point me toward a great platform.

site. Keep writing!
I would like to thnkx for the efforts you have put in writing this blog. I am hoping the same high-grade blog post from you in the upcoming as well. In fact your creative writing abilities has inspired me to get my own blog now. Really the blogging is spreading its wings quickly. Your write up is a good example of it.
When I initially left a comment I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me
when new comments are added- checkbox now every time a comment is added I get 4 emails with similar comment.
Can there be a method you may remove me from that service?
Thanks!
Nice!
