I recently shared one of my favorite recipes of all time on the blog, yam souffle, & in the post I showed my lovely recipe cards that I bought from The Painted Arrow. I’m seriously obsessed with them. So obsessed that recently I decided to make some art with my new recipe cards. Displaying the recipe cards with recipes passed down from our families adds meaningful art to the heart of your home. The best part? I found the frames at the dollar store & simply painted them to make them look like custom frames.
To make this easy art I simply purchased these recipe cards from The Painted Arrow. Confession: I had my husband fill out the recipe cards because his handwriting is O so much better than mine! Another great idea would be to have your relatives who gave you the recipes to fill out the recipe cards so it has extra meaning. I painted the dollar store frames with a sample pot of paint from lowes, & there you have it.. framed recipe card art for your kitchen.
This DIY framed recipe card art hangs above our little coffee station. You can see the post on the DIY rustic wood tray {here}. What do you think of the framed recipe cards? Have you ever framed recipe cards before? What do you think of this little DIY project? I would love to hear from you, leave a comment below, find me on facebook, or chat with me on instagram.
This is a excellent blog, would you be involved in doing an interview about just how you designed it? If so e-mail me!
