Well, hello there! It is the end of day two of our Hidden Treasure Adventure & I am EXHAUSTED, but it’s that really good exhausted that you aren’t mad about. It’s from having too much fun & laughing until your belly hurts. O, and eating a lot. Man they are feeding me good here… I am coming away from this trip with good memories & some added weight.. I’m not complaining. These day to day recaps are just a really quick recap of the trip. When I get home I will have better photos, more things to say, and of course the full reveal of the Habitat for Humanity home. A HUGE thank you to all of those who saw my recap of day 1 & gave me some advice on re-doing the boys room… I’m excited & nervous & I want to be able to give these boys a great room with only working on it for less than 24 hours! haha Anyways here’s a tiny glimpse of day two.
Showing off our yard saleing T’s early this morning… We are running off of very little sleep, but we don’t care we are having too much fun!! & we have starbucks 😉
This is only some of the loot from day 1! We started out this morning by organizing our finds from yesterday. You see that trunk? One of my finds for the boys room, what do you think??
We started the shopping today in Hudson, Michigan… wow. I never expected just a huge highway filled with yard sales. They are not kidding. We were in 3 states today.. & it’s just yard sales for miles & we have more states to go tomorrow!
The HARDEST part of this trip is not being able to bring things home for yourself!!! Well, you can, but I mean I think TSA might have an issue with me bringing these chairs on the plane, no? These babies were only $8 a piece.. some places I have to walk away or I will cry. haha I wish I was kidding.
I mean really. Did I not just do a whole post on wood crates? Go check it out if you haven’t read it!
There were so many cute little towns in Ohio that we drove through today, but we all fell in love with West Unity. It was the cutest little town & so many great finds!
Courtney & I found a little haven today on the trip. After seeing corn fields and yard sales for hours on the road this beautiful lake was a beautiful site. & there were also some great sales right across the road.
We got to our hotel here in Kentucky 10 minutes before we had to be at dinner… I can create a huge mess in 10 minutes. Don’t underestimate me!
After dinner, a late night Home Depot run, and some more furniture organizing of all of our finds… It was back to my room for a shower & blogging. A little sleep & back at it early tomorrow night. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to follow me tomorrow & follow hashtag #GMCHTA for the other girls photos as well!
