A few weeks ago I got some cotton from a southern cotton field here in North Carolina. That is one thing I will miss about being here in the south, all of the beautiful cotton fields! I wanted to incorporate the cotton into our Christmas decor so I decided to make some really simple DIY rustic cotton wreaths for our entryway table. You know I like to keep it simple around here folks, & this this DIY wreath is one of them! All you need is some cotton & a pine wreath. Please excuse our house being so dark in these photos, it has been raining here the past few days so this is what we get.
To make these simple wreaths I simple took the cotton stems that I had & plucked the cotton balls off of the stems & stuck them in the greenery wreaths. I wanted to re-use the cotton off of the wreaths after Christmas , & the stems stick perfectly in the wreaths {purchased from Michaels} with out moving. Simple, easy, pretty, & natural. If you saw our Christmas dining room reveal {here} You know that’s our style. Simple & natural. You can also see this DIY Christmas tray {here}. Want to know how I got the wreaths on the burlap ribbon {purchased from Hobby Lobby} to stick? Well, my hot glue gun of course! Yes, I glued the wreaths to the burlap ribbon and tacked it to the backside of the mirror. This way nothing is permenant & can be taken apart at the end of the season & it can all be re-used next year
What do you think of these rustic cotton Christmas wreaths? I will be showing you two other wreaths I made around our house for the Holidays this week & I also need to show you are full front entryway decorated for Christmas. Stay tuned for that! I hope you are all having a great week. Be sure to leave your comments below & find me on Facebook & Instagram to chat with me!
