Remember my little update {here} last week about the middle guest bedroom being almost done? Well, I’m still waiting on the perfect rug & all of that, but it’s pretty complete for now & that makes me happy. One of our recent projects for the room was a DIY wood circle side table for one side of the bed. You might laugh at how this table actually started out in our house…
See that black chalkboard behind buck? Well, we made that from a pre-made circle “table top” found at Lowes. We mounted the deer head on to the chalkboard tabletop & hung it about the daybed in the front guest bedroom. You can see more of the front guest bedroom {here}. Recently we took buck and the circle down off the wall & hung some new art up so we were left with a circle & had no idea what to do with it until recently. On one side of the bed in the middle guest bedroom we have a vintage trunk for a side table & we needed a little table on the other side of the bed & a lightbulb went off in my head that we had that lovely little chalkboard circle lying around. Perfect part for a small little table!
Well, look at that! It’s no longer on the wall displaying buck & it’s sitting beautifully in our middle guest bedroom waiting for some guests to set their belongings on it. I love how simple it is in the bedroom & I’m falling more in love with black furniture & black accessories lately. Are you a fan of black furniture & black accessories?
