This past weekend was so much fun. We have some of our best friends staying with us for a week & it has been so nice to be able to spend time with them. Before they came I wanted to be sure the guest bedroom was super cozy & ready for them to spend the week in. We have only been in our rental now for a little under two months so I haven’t had too much time to play around in the guest bedroom until last week…
The bed is covered in cozy linens & lots of pillows. The white comforter is from TJ Maxx & the gray throw is from Ikea. Most of the pillows are from TJ Maxx, home goods, H&M. The circle table is a DIY project {here}, The rabbit art is from Home Goods, & the ampersand art is also a DIY project {here}.
The art above the dresser was a happy accident. The ampersand was exactly where it is now & I hung my DIY metal Be Still letters up & when I stepped back to take a look I saw that it said “Be still & ___” just like one of my favorite verses “Be still & know that I am God” Psalm 46:10. So, of course I had to finish the sentence some more so I added the chalkboard sign that says “know”. It’s quirky, but it’s a fun addition to the guest room. The tote on the floor is from Initials inc. & I love how it ties in the gray from the bed throw.
The room is small with some weird angles, but I love how cozy it is & it has a great view of the street below with some lovely downtown homes & it also has a lovely large walk in closet. It’s a great spot for guests! So, when are you coming to stay with us? I’ll have the coffee on! What do you think of the room? What’s your favorite part?
