A few weeks ago I shared a sneak peek of our summer brick patio DIY seating area. Well, I was waiting on a few more things to complete the space, but I got tired of waiting for those things & decided to show you the space anyways. I mean what’s the fun in waiting? As many of you know we sold our house in the suburbs a few months ago & now we are renting a home in the historic downtown area. We have a lovely brick patio with no grass in our yard at all. The backyard is also surround by brick walls & lots of greenery. Of course when the hurricane hit last week the backyard took a tiny hit, but it’s still looking cozy & inviting for a summer night on the patio. On that note, this is what I did with one corner of our back patio.
Here is the little space “before” when we laid down our faux grass rug:
& after adding some of my touches…
There is our lovely little conversation area on our back patio as it looked like this afternoon. The thing that’s missing? Well, I had some yard games on the grassy area, but the tutorial for those are coming later, so for now an empty patch of faux grass from Home Depot is what’s up. I love this grass rug & love how it looks on our all brick patio. The patio furniture is from Polywood & you also saw it in my spring patio post {here}. The cover on the bench is a turkish towel from Marshalls, the coffee pillows are from H&M, the grain sack pillow is from TJ Maxx, the striped large pillows are from Etsy, the tray is from Target, the fiddle fig is from Home Depot, the burlap basket is from Homegoods, & the bike is from a local yardsale site. I can’t wait to show you the space with our yard games & some other changes. What do you think of the space so far? Let me know what you think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram!
