Remember in the last house when I bought this tufted chair at TJ Maxx? Well, if you don’t remember when we bought it, it was my favorite chair ever & not much has changed! That chair we bought is now in our front sitting room & is still loved to this day. Well, fast forward to last week when I was walking through TJ Maxx & I spotted the same beautiful tufted chair again! As soon as I saw it I knew that we needed it. In our living room, the room that we use the most to watch TV & hang out in the back of the house, at the moment we have only one couch. I have been looking for a chair for that room for a while & since I already knew I loved the one in our front sitting room it was perfect. Another reason to get it? Most of you know we already have our home that we are moving to in Michigan in a few months & in our upstairs living room I am wanting two wingback chairs & these would be perfect. Awesome. Well, dumb me I was headed to Atlanta the next day & I didn’t feel like dealing with it so I just decided that I would pick up the chair after I got back from Georgia. Well, wouldn’t you know when I got back on Monday from Atlanta the chair was GONE. Insert angry scream. Thankfully the TJ Maxx employees were kind enough to call around to near by TJ Maxx stores to find the chair & one near by happen to have it. You can bet I drove my happy booty to get the chair & the whole way home I was giddy & excited. It’s the little things. I haven’t blogged our back living room yet, but here is the little corner with the new chair…
If you remember on the first TJ Maxx tufted chair that we got while we were in the last house, you may remember we painted the legs on it. I will be painting the legs on this new chair as well eventually, but for now they are somewhat hidden & I’m perfectly ok with that. Here is our first tufted wing back that’s currently in our front sitting room…
For now the two chairs are in different rooms, but I know in our Michigan house they will be fabulous together & make a really fun statement. Who else is excited for the Michigan house? I know I am! But for now, I am going to enjoy our historic rental here in NC. Oh, & did you notice the makeshift side table I made in the photos above from a stool and a tray? Just some random items I had lying around the house that makes a pretty good side table perfect for by the chair! What do you think? I will be blogging our back living room very soon, & this corner was just one step to it being a little more “finished”.
What do you think of our lovely tufted wingback chairs from TJ Maxx? Do you own chairs like these? What’s your experience with buying furniture from TJ Maxx & stores like it? I think I may be a little too obsessed, but I know I can’t be alone! along with being pretty this chair is super comfortable, durable, & at an amazing price point since it was from TJ Maxx. I’m guessing this chair is in your local Home goods, Marshalls, or TJ Maxx if you are interested in it.. so don’t wait like I did if you want it, you will regret it!
