As many of you know I took a girls trip to Charlotte a little over a week ago with my friend Rach. Rachael lives in Savannah so it was a great meeting point for us to get together. We had so much fun together & we did a lot of shopping. I put on Instagram that we went to Ikea & a lot of people asked me to do a haul of the stuff I got. Since I only go to Ikea once a year I stocked up on some goodies! I didn’t have everything in it’s place & nothing was really styled, but I took a few quick pictures of the things as I unpacked them so you could see what I got. Here is my Ikea haul of {so far} in 2014…
BORRBY Lantern – $7.99
I got two of these for either side of the TV in the living room that I still have never gave you a tour of. Soon! Very soon. The candles inside were also from Ikea.
Ursula cushion covers – $13.00
I already had about 6 of these, but got two more because I can NEVER have enough. they are the perfect throw pillow & I love how neutral they are. I actually like the white color better in this pillow, but they do not make it anymore so this natural color is just fine!
NYPONROS duvet cover & pillow cases – $39.99
I bought this baby for our master bedroom. I bought it to layer on top of our white h&m duvet cover. I love the detail it adds to our bed & I can’t wait to do our full master bedroom reveal in our historic rental very soon!
STRANDKRYPA duvet cover & pillow cases – $29.99
When I spotted this duvet cover I knew I HAD to have it for our guest bedroom. This duvet cover actually inspired an entire overhaul on the little room. I can’t wait to show you all of the changes.
This rug is normally $140.00 but it was in there “as is” section, which I highly recommend shopping by the way, because it had a few blemishes that were on the back side of the rugs it really didn’t matter. Another score for the guest bedroom! This is the 4th natural rug in our home & so I would say I’m a little obsessed & they are a staple in our home.
PUGG wall clock- $10.99
I kicked myself the last time I went to Ikea for not getting this little clock. I have been wanting a vintage school house clock for a while now & this one is just perfect. I don’t have a place for it yet, but it would really go well in any room.
RANARP lamp- $39.99
I’ve always wanted this lamp since I spotted it a long time ago, but never had a reason to get it, that is until this little guest room overhaul thing I am doing. I mean, it’s just so cute.
TRENSUM mirror- $8.99
KNODD trash bin with lid – $24.99
TOFTBO bathmat – $9.99
I bought these items for our master bathroom. Ever since we moved in we didn’t really do much to the space so these items are making the bathroom feel more cozy.
KARDEMUMMA plant pots- $1.99
I stocked up on a bunch of these & a bunch of plants. Every time I go to Ikea, these plants are a must for me. We have them all over our house & they are perfect in any room.
BYHOLMA baskets- $12.99
I bought these baskets for the new TV console that Mr. LMB built last week for our master bedroom. I’m almost finished painting it & we can’t wait to show yo what he created. He’s amazing.
I also picked up some curtains that I will show later & a few other little items as well. Oh, & the cutest hanging planters you ever did see.. I can’t wait to hang them & show you. Of course you will be seeing these items in upcoming blog posts as soon as they are styled in their spots. I NEED TO KNOW, what are your must have Ikea items? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. xx
Charlotte was so wonderful to us & I can’t wait to go back! Have you been to Charlotte? What are your favorite spots? Shopping, eating, let me know! xx
I love Ikea too. Their picture frames are great and cheap. We also buy their plants since they are so cheap and nice to add to each room. Can’t wait to see your hanging plants and how you have styled your master.
I am going to Ikea in Chicago this weekend! Its a 5 hr trip for me 🙁 but I plan on getting a carfull 🙂 I hope to redesign my sons room as a birthday surprise, and pick up some of my favorite sheepskin ….but now you also gave me MORE things on my “must have” shopping list….Thanks Liz! (I’m sure my husband will say that sarcastically …haha!) ~Kim
Ikea is about an hour and a half away so I stock up too! Love their plants and rugs. Pillow cases are a must and you can never walk away without the cinnamon rolls.
We have the same striped duvet in our master bedroom and we love it! We make 1-2 trips to Ikea a year, most of the time during the summer when we are on that side of the state for a Tigers game! 🙂
I just love that striped duvet! I picked it up for our guest room, but the frequency of the stripes hurt my eyes to look at, so I had to return it! So happy it works for you!!
I lived in Charlotte for 5 years and loved it. South Park mall is my go to shopping area.
I wish you would do a post on your hair, especially how to do that bun!! 🙂
I’d recognize that Starbucks on East Blvd anywhere! I used to study there when I was in college. If you go back for a trip, you MUST go to The Sleepy Poet. It’s a gigantic antique mall, and it’s right up your alley! There are so many goodies to be found there. Love your haul!
Wow after seeing some of these items I know I need to make a trip to Ikea sometime soon! So much pretty stuff. Keep up the inspiration, I love your design style 🙂
I’m heading to IKEA tomorrow so this has me excited! I haven’t been to the Charlotte IKEA yet but we visit there several times a year since my in-laws live there. It’s a beautiful city! Lots of fun things to do.
I love all your great finds! I’ve had that clock through 3 apartments and I still love it – a classic 🙂
Such cute finds. I haven’t been to ikea in a while so I am definitely due for a big trip. Glad you had fun!
Here in NJ, we are lucky…I have 2 Ikeas within an hour of my house! However, we often don’t go as they get crowded! On the last trip I too bought the lantern. I also got a 3 set of small raffia baskets with lids. Both are sitting on my dining room table. I’m looking forward to filling my lantern with some small white pumpkins for the fall!
We just moved to Charlotte in January, and I’ve been to IKEA all to often! One of our favorite little spots is Amelie’s Bakery in North Davidson. They’re quirky style is so fun and their french pastries are to die for!
What awesome scores! I love IKEA and that duvet for you guest room is beautiful!
Oh, I love all the things you bought. That are all things I would maybe also buy myself. Especially the duvet for your guest room looks great. And that table lamp! I think about this lamp for so long now… But thankfully I have three IKEA stores in my city (Thanks to being European. Sorry, not sory ;)), so I can go there quick and buy one when I finally decide 😉
Love, Midsommarflicka
Fantastic find! I am lucky/unlucky enough to have an IKEA about an hour away. I end up grabbing way more than I need to when I go 😉
Can’t wait to see the reveals!!!
I luv IKEA too! We have one like 5-10 minutes away from our house. I think sometimes I take it for granted. But I’m definitely planning a trip this weekend. You’ve inspired me to change the bedding in my bedroom and the two guest bedrooms as well. I need something fresh and airy. Luv your style and everything that you do!
I don’t suppose you could tell me what the name of the plant in the
KARDEMUMMA plant pot is? It looks to be of the fig family, but I can’t tell! I love it!
