One room in our historic rental that I haven’t shown you yet is our master bedroom, well that’s a lie, it was in our DIY extra long lumbar pillow post, but other then that I have yet to reveal it. That is coming soon! For now I am so excited to share with you this amazing DIY TV console cabinet that Mr. LMB made a couple of weeks ago. He didn’t use any plans & just created a stand in his head as he went. I was out of town that weekend & he was sending me photos to update me on the progress & I was so excited & surprised with each photo he sent over because it was fun to see how his mind was working. When I got home I was so surprised at the quality & the size {it looks smaller in photos}. It’s such a nice piece of furniture & like always, I am so impressed with his work & that he is able to do these kinds of things with no plans. I envy his ninja furniture skills, but I’m thankful he’s my husband & makes me all the furniture we need & want. The TV console really completed our bedroom & I love that the custom piece fits in the awkward shaped room perfectly.
The setup on the console was kind of thrown together last minute, but I’m actually kind of in love with how different it is. I placed our House of Belonging sign behind the TV {which is a 42″ TV by the way for size reference} & on the shelf I placed two baskets from Ikea. I placed the House of belonging sign behind the TV instead of hanging it because we are about to move & we didn’t want to make anything permanent. No worries, it will be hanging in our Michigan house very soon! The frames are a mix of Target & TJ Maxx. The candles are from….. & the pouf & the throw and blanket are from Target. The topiaries are a DIY project from a long time ago {here}. The cabinet is painted with Behr Marquee paint in Gray Shimmer. It’s a super light gray that’s not too bold, but it’s the perfect subtle light gray color for this room.
