If you follow me on any form of social media regularly or even here on the blog, you know I was so excited to decorate our rental for fall. It’s really funny because we have never lived in a house yet that has had a mantel so I was extra excited to decorate this one in our historic home for fall this year. It’s a really small mantel & I had so many ideas that I might even do two fall mantels, but for now I did a really neutral fireplace mantel with tons of pumpkins of course. I love this cozy easy care free fall decor & it’s something that can be whipped together in 5 minutes which is even better. Oh, & you might notice that half way through me photographing the mantel today that the coffee table changes. #lifeofaDIYblogger. Seriously, the hubs and I made a coffee table half way through shooting the photos and moved it into our front sitting room, more on the lovely table later! I hope you love our cozy sitting room fall mantel.
I have to set the mood for these photos. It was raining outside & it was the first day that it was in the 60’s outside here in NC this & it was the first day of fall today. As I was taking the photos I had the front door wide open, music playing, & I could smell the fall scentsy from the kitchen. My heart was so happy. So thankful for a beautiful rainy fall day, our lovely rental, & this simple fall mantel. I love moments that make me stop and thank God for this beautiful life we live. It’s funny how styling a fall mantle can make you appreciate life. The pallet clock is a DIY {here}, The orchard sign was also a DIY that is coming soon, the pumpkins were collected from various places, & the plaid “blanket” is actually a tablecloth I found at Marshalls. What do you think of our early fall mantel? Do the pumpkins make you excited for the autumn season?
