I was about to decorate our dining room for fall & realized that I had never blogged our dining room in our historic rental yet. This room has actually changed a lot since we moved in & it’s the connecting room from the kitchen & the living room to the sitting room, office, daybed room, stairs, & the bathroom. So basically you walk through the dining room no matter where you are going in the house. This space was kind of hard for me to fully love since this is a rental home we aren’t able to do all the things we want to it, but we have made it a cozy space that I think goes well with the early 1900’s vibe when this house was built. It’s kind of a tricky space to take photos of as well when you aren’t a professional like myself because of the windows, & all of the doorways, but I gave it my best to take a few quick photos for you today before I put some fall decor up in our neutral rustic dining room. Enjoy!
That is how our dining room looked today before I added some lovely fall decor. Have I mentioned yet how crazy I feel to be decorating for fall when it was over 100 degrees here in NC today? Like legit crazy, but excited at the same time because I love fall & everything that comes with it. Anyways our fall dining room will be on the blog very soon, until then you can visit other rooms in our rental in the links below. What do you think of the dining room? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, and chat with me on Instagram! xx
Very energetic post, I enjoyed that a lot. Will there be a
part 2?
This is such a cozy dining room, loved every nook and corner of it, specially that door with lamp! Gorgeous!

I bet you are are going to hate leaving such a BEAUTIFUL home!? So big, and so many rooms! But I can’t wait to see what you do with a smaller space also….love your style! ~Kim
What a great space! I love it all! I wanted to know if you can tell me where you got that light on the old door? I want 2 of those for over my bed but having problems finding something like that. Thank 🙂
Also hun I wanted to let you know that I am featuring your blog on my Sunday Shout Outs this week so please make sure you stop by to take a peek. 🙂
If I had all the money in the world, I would pay for you to fly to Georgia and for you to decorate my home. I’m in love with your style and creativity with space arrangements. I did ok putting together a cohesive look for my daughter’s nursery, but that’s as far as I can go. The thought of decorating the rest of my home seems so daunting. Though I know it take patience and a good eye, you make it look so fun and easy! 🙂
Love everything!!! I finally know what to do with my door that is hanging out in the garage! It will be the starting point for a small bedroom for my granddaughters when they come and stay overnight at grandma and grandpas house! Thank you!!!
Love it….I love how the buffet fits perfectly in that little niche! Everything looks great!
Hey Debra! Thank you so much for your kind words.. you honestly made my day. The light is actually from Target & we had them over our guest bed in our last house. If you search “middle guest bedroom liz marie blog” you will find that room that the lights are in. I loved them like that! I hope this helps 🙂 xx
I love the room and can’t wait to see how you decorate for the fall. I really love the rug and the fringe gives it a nice little touch. Do you recall where you purchased it?
Love it! You did a fantastic job taking pictures of that space 🙂 I too love that door! Seriously, cannot tell that you are “limited” to what you can do with a rental! Everything is beautiful!~Kim
Your dining room is beautiful – so serene! And full of personal ingenuity!
