Last week in our fall home tour I gave a little sneak peek of our fall front porch, but you know I was going to do a full post on it, because let’s face it.. I love blogging & sharing our home with you guys. This year decorating our fall porch was especially fun because we are in our historic rental downtown. I got really sentimental while I was decorating the porch thinking that this time next year we will be in Michigan & let’s face it, that house only has a stoop. Hopefully a porch will be added soon to our Michigan house. Anyways, we still have two months left here in NC so we are making the most of it! For our porch fall decor, I wanted to do something rustic & colorful since the inside of our home has pretty neutral fall decor. To me, decorating for fall is all about cozy textures, warm colors, & rustic pieces. By the way this post is very picture heavy, & I’m very sorry about that, but I got very excited for fall & I wanted all these photos in this post to have the memory of this house we have fallen in love with.
The swing on this side of our front porch is of course the focal point to this space & I seriously love sitting on this swing drinking tea so much. You wouldn’t believe how relaxing it is. I added some tribal pillows from Target, a vintage yellow throw, & some other pumpkin inspired colors to the space to really warm it up and make it cozy. The Vintage Marquee light is another focal point of the space & I always love using it in our fall decor.
& the other side of our porch has a lovely antique table as a focal point with two of our extra metal tub chairs anchoring each side. I used mums and pumpkins again with warm colors & lots of texture to really bring the fall vibes to our front porch.
I pray that we have a big porch like this again in the future. It has been such a blessing in our lives to be able to live in this historic home the past 6 months. We have enjoyed it so much & feel like it was the perfect way to say goodbye to North Carolina living in this southern charmer. The house isn’t perfect, but it’s perfectly imperfect just like me. I have had so much fun using is with my creative outlet & this porch was no different. I kind of had a bad day yesterday, but give me an hour on the porch with some decor & all is right in the world again. I hope you guys enjoyed our fall front porch! What is your favorite part?
