Ok. So this week has been so crazy here in Michigan for my visit. I have worked my booty off, but I’m not alone. I have such an amazing family that has worked tirelessly on this house for us not only this week, but while we have been in NC as well. My heart is so full because of how kind and generous those around us have been in making this house our home. These updated photos today may not seem like a lot has been done, but oh my that is not the truth. A million things have been done to the house & it’s all going to make a huge impact on the home renovation. In about a week the entire house will be getting painted, flooring will be going in, trim will be done, & so much more in the next month before we move home to Michigan. I took some quick cell phone photos today of the house to share with you, but wow comparing the before and after is quite rewarding! This isn’t the prettiest post, but they are fun to compare. I didn’t take pictures of the entire house, but I will be doing that soon to show you!

I didn’t show a few rooms in the home, but I am going to do a video blog of a walk through of the house so stay tuned for that as well with more recent update photos because everyday there has been amazing changes! I figured a video tour would help you be able to see the house a little more in depth of our progress. As soon as we get some paint & flooring this house will be looking like a home again! Along with house progress this week a big part of why I was home was to make final decisions on flooring, countertops, lighting, faucets, and so much more. This week has for sure been physically and mentally exhausting, but I’m thankful for friends & family that have made this so much easier on us. Thanks to them our transition from military life to civilian life can be a little more comfortable. What do you think of our progress? I think we’ve made some big strides, but we have a long ways to go… here’s to hoping we get it done in less than 50 days! xx
I think you’ve made HUGE strides! Big changes for sure, and it’s looking great! Can’t wait to see how it all comes together! Well done.
Love the new doors for the new house!
Liz Marie! LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I love renovating! We have those doors in our home- they’re fabulous! Kitchen is going to be gorgeous and I love the wood details on the wall. Both the boys rooms have wide planked walls. Bravo lady!

Oh my what progress–that’s a ton! It’s going to be stunning!
Some of the things you’re doing remind me a lot of Jenna Sue’s blog and home, which in looking at her blog I’ve been thinking how similar her style is to yours.
Love all of it!
I’m your next door neighbor and I love to see the progress you have made in the house. I’m hoping to stop by and meet you this week. I can’t wait to have “Jojo” back in the neighborhood.
It was such fun meeting you today! Love following you and welcome back to Michigan.
Wow girl! I am getting excited for you just looking at the all the pictures. Is that planked walls I am seeing?
Just wondering if you bought new closet doors or re-faced (put shaker trim) on old/existing ones?
