Many of you already know that I decorated our rental here in NC for the holidays even though the movers are coming tomorrow to pack our things up. I just had to see this lovely historic home decorated for Christmas. There were moments where I really thought I was crazy, but it was very worth it because in the end I would have always wondered what this historic home would look like with holiday decor on every corner of it. One little area that I thought would be fun to decorate for Christmas is the tiny sunroom in the back. If you remember we gave the sunroom a makeover a few months ago {here}. The sunroom was pretty ugly before we got our hands on it & now it’s looking super festive…
This entire space was inspired by this DIY santa art I made that I became obsessed with. It was a quick & easy DIY project that added a whimsical holiday touch to our rustic Christmas sunroom.
I used a double layer frame that I got from Cut It Out online shop & I painted it with Behr antique red. After the paint was dry I rubbed some stain over the frames to make the frame look more antique. I love how the double layers of the frame add more detail to the holiday art. I found the vintage santa print from The Graphics Fairy & printed it out at Staples. Super easy & it really became the focal point of the holiday decor in our sunroom.
I love how simply rustic our little Christmas sunroom is. I’m kind of wishing our Michigan house had a little sunroom like this, but let’s face it, I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it there in the winter anyways. What do you think of our cozy rustic sunroom? Want to come over & enjoy some hot chocolate on the porch? By the way, I really think that mint door looks great with anything. It looks great! The mint door is growing on me… 🙂
I love this!! The door is my fave, but the whole room is so perfect for the holidays!
Love it! The room speaks wonders! What do you use to hang your pictures and wreaths? I have not found anything that will hold up in cold weather.
Oh, I just love the door and the Christmas wreath around the antlers. I may have to do this!
Awww it looks so amazing! It just makes me want to sip hot chocolate and sit by the fire or something. I love it!
love it, liz! i really like the blanket (is that the one from H&M??). it looks so cozy and reminds me of a chic cabin in the mountains.
Looks great Liz. How big was the Santa when you printed it? Thanks for the inspiration!
Where did you get the antlers on the door?? I need to do this!
