What a fun post to do on my BIRTHDAY! I can’t believe I’m 27 today & feel so lucky every day to live this beautiful life I live. Today is special because it’s my first birthday in 8 years that I’m living at home in Michigan. Feels really good to be around family for my birthday. Seriously I’m going to pray more than 27 times today & thank God for all He does daily in my life. Anyways, enough about my birthday & on to the post! Today on my spring time birthday I thought it would be fun to “reveal” our guest bedroom since we moved in 4 months ago. It’s a huge change since we first got the house & of course it being all ready for spring makes it one of the happiest places in our home. For spring we added a few fresh touches to really give it that bright & clean feeling. I love the rustic eclectic charm of the space. Of course this room is far from finished, but for now it’s super cozy & I’m quite happy with it. & when are our homes really “finished” anyways? Enjoy our spring guest bedroom…
So cheerful right? Now let’s look at it before we moved in. This photo was taken after we ripped the ugly carpet out…
& now after living in our house for a few months it looks a little something like this…
Super light & bright right? I seriously sit in this room all the time to sit and enjoy the sunshine. The sun spills in this room all day which is just magical. Mr. LMB & I have actually been napping in here as well which is wonderful. The other day we opened the windows for a breeze & laid in the sunshine & slept the afternoon away. This room is just lovely to be in. The best part about this room? We really had most of the items in this room & have used them in past houses. The dresser, the headboard, the chair, the clock, suitcase, & a few other items are all thrifted finds. It doesn’t have to be expensive to be beautiful, but it can be expensive & beautiful too.. either way you like!
Oh man. I hope this rooms bring you some joy on my birthday. What a great way to celebrate huh? With a lovely little guest room? I truly hope you liked today’s post & the lovely before & after photos of the space. Who doesn’t like a good before & after? Let me know what you think of the room in the comments below & be sure to find me on Facebook & Instagram! xx

It looks so inviting!
Happy birthday!! I just love that floral duvet – I can’t believe it’s IKEA!
You nailed it! You have such an effortless, beautiful timeless style! Not stuffy but comfortable. Just love it! Happy Birthday!!
Just beautiful! Love everything and yes, I recognize many of those pieces from past posts. The monogrammed pillow is darling! All of the vignettes are so fresh. Did you paint the walls? If so, what color? I’m having a hard time finding a soft white wall color. Thanks!
Love the cozy feeling to the room. Beautiful! Especially with all that light.

Happy Birthday to you! What a great day to have a beautiful room like that! I love the suitcase on the dresser too!
I love the rabbit elements! They remind me of a guest room my family used to stay in when I was a kid visiting friends in Memphis. The family had two sons, so the mother decorated the guest room like a little girls room and *covered* it in rabbits of every kind. I loved it so much! Thanks for the reminder of a beautiful memory!
Beautiful room!! What color did you use on the walls?
Have a wonderful birthday:)
Wow! This room is so beautiful! I love it. Great mixture of textures and colors with enough white for balance.

I was wondering if you could tell me where the bedroom door is from? Thank you!

Where did you get your doors?
Hey Liz! I know at this point this is a super old post for you so I’m so sorry Robbie commenting on it! I am looking all over for that white target rabbit you have sitting on the dresser for a project I’m doing. I know it’s from a couple years ago now and I have been scouring eBay and everywhere else I can think of trying to find one. I wanted to see if y’all might have any in your store or something. I know you guys only have the absolute cutest stuff! Sorry again for commenting on such an old blog post! ?
