I probably should stop collecting things. Or should I keep going? I still can’t decide. Something I have started collecting lately is antique stoneware crocks. They keep popping up in my life wherever I go & I just love them in all different shapes & sizes. I’m not picky about what they are or how much they are worth, to me they are just really lovely & fit in our home so well. I created a simple little centerpiece in our dining room this week with some of my crocks & I wanted to show you this simple idea that you could create with crocks, or any containers [or planters] that are similar that fit your home style. Here is that little happy centerpiece on our dining room table & how it looked today…
The crocks are all finds of mine, but you can find them online if you search & your grandma might have some in her basement. Just ask around if you want some. The antique dough bowl was a find at a local furniture store here in Michigan [Art Van] but I have also seen some dough bowls at Target & other retail stores. You can also find antique ones at local thrift/antique stores. The table runner & light fixture are from World Market, Pillows are from H&M. Chairs are from Scout & Nimble, Buffet is a DIY [here], Wine rack & large metal planter are from Home Goods, Wine glasses are from Marshalls, & everything else are finds of mine.
I love how every crock is unique with it’s different markings, colors, sizes, & the way it’s worn down. The obsession is real folks. I have a few larger ones that I have some plans for & I even had some in yesterday’s blog post [here] of my bookshelf makeover. I have a feeling you will see these babies all over our little cottage house soon. Hope you like them as much as I do!
So much pretty stoneware. I’m hoping I’m not the only obsessed with these crocks, or this blog post was just solely for me, but that’s ok too. What do you guys think of my simple crock centerpiece? I mean, greenery. Can’t go wrong with greenery! The plant on the far right is real [ground cover from Lowes] & the rest of the plants are faux. Fake it until you make it, or get a green thumb! Let me know what you guys think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. xx
I love crocks too!! I have been searching for a perfect one for my kitchen utensils, but I can’t seem to find one that isn’t laced with gold or at least priced that way. Yours are beautiful! One jealous lady over here!
Great idea to display your plants this way! I love it and they look great. I also love that bread bowl and want one!!
Last week I was browsing the web and saw a kitchen with a large crock as a trash can! I’ve never loved a trash can so much! Now to figure out how to keep flies out. My in laws have a large crock in their living holding blankets, and I also love that idea.
Oh, and here’s the link to the kitchen with the crock trash if you want to check it out: https://pinterest.com/pin/560276009869672708/
I love using crocks in decor! I grew up with a mom who collected Red Wings (she has close to 100 in all different shapes and sizes!) You’re right in the heart of crock country so I’m sure you’re finding them everywhere! Your house is gorgeous as always!

Funny, I’m currently enjoying a love affair with stone crocks, too! Just placed three across the buffet behind our couch, with matching succulents planted inside because they’re easy to keep alive 🙂 Now if I could just find one of those amazing dough bowls without paying an arm and leg…..
