I am back today to share a piece of art work that Mr. LMB made this past week. I can’t help but share what he makes, maybe I’m like the mom who hangs their kids artwork all over the fridge, but I mean one post a week or every other week with some artwork that he makes for our home or our booth is perfectly fine right? & hopefully it inspires you to create some DIY art for your home as well. This one is super simple & makes a big impact. It can also be completely customized for any space with changing the size, color, & letter you choose. I love how this piece of art is rustic & adds the cottage style with a whimsical vibe. Let’s get on to that cool DIY ampersand art that Mr. LMB made…
To make this artwork Mr. LMB attached some wood scraps together with vertical boards in the back holding them all together. he then stained all the boards [he will be doing a his stain technique video very soon]. He then took a large ampersand that we got from Michaels & he painted it white. When the paint dried he then attached it to the boards using a nail gun. Seriously that’s it. There is some quick art from your home that won’t take you long, but will make a big impact. Wouldn’t this be great with your last name initial above a mantel? I styled it above our daybed in our office & I’m tempted to keep it.. but this little baby will be in our booth at Painted Farmgirl very soon.
Who doesn’t love some good ampersand art? I’m pretty obsessed. & probably more obsessed because my husband made it. Anyways, I wish I could keep it here, but I have some big plans for this little spot in this room & I’m hoping it works out. Be back later with those office updates. What a wonderful piece of art! The ampersand is so cool!
Where did you find the ampersand?thanks!
Brilliant to paint ampersand! I saw it at Michaels super cheap, but the fake printed wood was so cheesy. Didn’t think to paint it!

I went back today and bought one! I felt compelled to tell the cashier that I was going to spray paint it because I didn’t want her to think I liked it in its present state.
Lovely, very simple art with a huge impact! I love ampersands. When I purchased one awhile back, my family gave me that puzzled look. I think they get it now 🙂
Fan of all things lizmarie!!:) thanks for sharing!!
