I wanted to come on here today & say a HUGE thank you for my post yesterday [here]. All of your sweet comments, encouragement, prayers, & just supporting us means so much. We all have a different way of dealing with loss & I’m thankful for all of the understanding & love you guys have shown to us. I am currently in bed sipping tea and reading through comments, some are hard for me to read just because of the reminder of the loss, but I truly am thankful for every single comment & all of you. Our babies are so loved in heaven from people here on earth & everyone up their. They are quite spoiled with love & we adore that. We love all six of our babies and are very lucky that they are so well taken care of.
During my very little down time I had today I started playing around with some fall decor, I snapped a few photos right when I started playing around & just wanted to give you a tiny glimpse of fall in our home. I know a lot of you will be like, “No Liz! It’s only August!” but my friends, fall just makes my soul happy & I blame this Michigan weather for dropping from 90 to 65 these past few days. I started with a few tiny early fall touches in our kitchen & I have to say I’m loving apples this year for fall decor.. and for eating.
I purchased the faux apples, the green ceramic pumpkin dishes [you can bake in them!], & the pies sign all from World Market. It’s been my favorite store lately & sucks for my wallet that we live right by one. It’s too easy to stop in! Anyways I felt motivated today for the first time in weeks [maybe months] so decorating for early fall was a blessing really.
I will be back with a lot more fall posts later, I’ll try to hold off until September. Maybe. But I just wanted to come on here today say thank you & show you some pretty early fall decor I was playing around with today. I hope you are all having a great week & thank you as always for stopping by this little blog of mine… THANK YOU! Question of the day: When do YOU start decorating for fall? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. xx

Hi Liz! I just wanted to tell you what an inspiration you are! I have followed your posts when I lived out of state in Alabama… Now, we are back home in Michigan!!! Every single post I read is filled with encouragement and hope. I want you to keep your head up because you are helping so many people!!! Love you and your style!! Ps- it’s NEVER too early for fall!!! It’s in the Michigan blood!!!:)
Love the apples spilling out onto counter. I start fall decorating at back to school time/former elementary teacher for 12 years. This year loving my dark brown striped balls (ellecor), sugar pinecones, wood charger and antlers, and fall candle (Reserve/Fire). In a month will add pumpkins in and out. Simple. Maple tree in front and burning bushes in back are best “decor”. Take care of you. 🙂
I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better Liz. I live in Texas so it’s not fall like yet and won’t feel like it unail October. I think I’ll start decorating next month some time.
Fall always makes me homesick for Michigan–California just doesn’t know how to do Fall! I miss the weather, the smells (esp piles of leaves burning!), the crisp air, cider mills, hayrides…and Michigan football! I’ll live vicariously through you this Fall!
Hi Liz – I don’t know anyone who decorates for the seasons here in the UK other than Christmas and maybe a pumpkin or two at Halloween. It is therefore good to see what many of you do in the US and it may even inspire us to do similar x
I try and wait until it gets below 90 here in Texas, but I don’t think I’ll be able to wait this year. I’m ready for Fall!! I’ll start after Labor Day. My prayers are with you and your husband Liz.
First, I would let you know that you & your husband are in my prayers. Second, I think your photos are beautiful, thank you for the Apple goodness inspiration. I will wait until we go apple picking in September to start fall decorations. Although, an apple here and there seems like a pretty start.
