As I was walking through Marshalls the other day… Why do a lot of my blog posts start out like that? Because Marshalls. Anyways, I spotted this lovely rustic metal basket & I just had to have it. Right when I saw it I had plans for it. I had no idea if it would actually work, but I tried it out today & it didn’t turn out half bad…
A big old basket of pumpkins. That’s right. I had done a similar centerpiece in our recent fall home tour [here], but I wanted to try something different & share my idea with you guys as well. I love it because it’s simple, but makes a huge impact. All I did was take my basket & about 4 sizes of white pumpkins [all from Michaels & Marshalls] & some greenery [from Michaels] & layered them in the basket for this centerpiece. But, of course a big basket of pumpkins would look good anywhere not just as a centerpiece. Sitting on the floor, by a fireplace, on an end table. I mean, it’s a basket of pumpkins.. come on.
I get that this basket of pumpkins isn’t ground breaking, & to some it’s very insignificant & you might be going through something hard & then you come here to my blog & see me playing with pumpkins & think “wow, this is what this girl does” Well, actually I had 20 minutes this morning in my hectic day & I saw the empty basket & remembered my plan & took those 20 minutes & used them to do something I love. It refreshed me to create a quick centerpiece with these pumpkins & to quickly photograph them & it makes me happy to share things here on the blog with you daily. I know you guys only get a glimpse of my life if that, but I hope that my blog encourages you to do what you love even if you only have 20 minutes a day to do so. A big ol’ basket O’ pumpkins made me happy today & I hope it brightened your day too!

One of my favorite things about Fall is all the DIY/decoration Fall posts on blogs 🙂 This is so simple and yet so classy.
I don’t think that basket is insignificant. I think it’s eye-catching and appealing. So unique to have around.
