Hi friends! Yesterday I blogged one of our new end tables in our lower level living room & promised to show you the second one this week, well I didn’t wan to wait so here it is. I went with two non-traditional end tables for this cozy living room & I’m really excited about that since we had two very traditional pieces in here before. Our living room is far from finished, but these end tables were a huge part in getting the room complete. Two wooden trunks. Yes. This is what I like to call a happy accident. So this room was ripped apart last week & these trunks were shoved to the side on top of each other. I actually had other plans for these trunks in the room, but when we got the new sofa from Ikea & I saw these by the sofa it made my want to leave them like they were. You know I am all about those easy DIY projects & this shouldn’t even be called a DIY, but let’s call it a stacked antique trunk end table. Ok, that doesn’t have a ring to it, but let’s go with it. I’ve had these trunks for quite a while & they have been in several of our homes, but I think this by far my favorite purpose for them yet.
Oh & remind me to iron the slipcovers on our new sofa #NewIkeaSofaProblems. Ps. the side of that box says Blank Form, I know a lot of people had a hard time reading it. I get it. It doesn’t even show the whole hospital complex! Plus it’s really more of an internal wayfinding plan. I’m pretty sure there are more along 58th Street, as well as 57th Street even if they are further east, the whole area is a construction zone at the moment and the pedestrian stretch of 58th Street was just redone east of the ER entrance so there may be movements of all sorts of street furniture at the moment. It wouldn’t surprise me if the parking structure at 59th and Cottage was to be torn down once the new garage is complete for more clinic space (certainly long term, it will be). FYI Duchossois is referred to as DCAM.
