A few weeks ago I shared this ladder that Jose & I hung from our ceiling in our home. We seriously were obsessed with it right away & couldn’t wait to decorate it for christmas. A few nights ago I actually dreamed I was hanging from the ladder because someone was trying to get me & I jumped up on it to get away. Then after the bad guy left no one could get me down because I was hanging so high up. Yes, I dream about our DIY projects & yes my dreams NEVER make sense. Funny thing is, I think I dreamt about the ladder because when Jose first hung it, even though he reassured me it was anchored into the ceiling, I still feared that we shouldn’t hang to much on it in fear that it might fall. I’m a paranoid person so this is not something new. So, when we went to decorated it for Christmas I chose to not hang anything large or heavy from the Christmas ladder…
You can see how we hung the ladder [here]. We used garland from Michaels & wrapped it around the ladder along with some batter powered mercury glass string lights from Kirklands. For the finishing touch on our simple Christmas ladder we used a lovely flocked wreath from HomeGoods. Seriously such a simply decorated ladder, but it really adds a lot to our home.
I hope you guys liked seeing our ladder decorated for christmas & a little glimpse into our home today. I love sharing our home with you guys & coming on here daily to chat with you guys. Tomorrow is thanksgiving & I know that means a lot of you who haven’t started decorating for Christmas will be starting… I’m so excited! I know there is a lot going on in the world right now & that decorating for Christmas seems minor in comparison, but I hope that decorating for Christmas this year brings you moments of joy with your family & I hope that by reading my posts about Christmas decor can you bring you a few moments of joy to your day as well. I’m thankful for all of you this Thanksgiving & that you visit the blog daily, share in my joy of DIY & decorating, & support my dreams of doing what I love. My heart is filled with thanks, so thank you. xx
It’s beautiful! What a cool addition and I love how you decorated it. Great job.
I love this idea!! When I saw you post it on Instagram I was instantly in love! We have a similar walkway from our kitchen to living room and I think this would look great in that upper space. You are so creative and talented! Love your Christmas table too.
Ps. You should check out “Hello Holiday” an entertainment guide created by some very talented Canadian bloggers 🙂 I think you will enjoy it!
