The dollar spot at Target got me AGAIN. I’m serious. They know what they are doing by putting all those goodies up front where I go and get my yummy cherry coke. I have to pass by all the shiny things as I enter the store. It’s not my fault that they end up in my cart. It’s Target’s fault & they know it. They are good, so good. At least the things are $3 and under right? The other day while walking into Target the other day I spotted these awesome hanging canisters that came in copper, black, & silver. I knew right away that I would probably love doing a little DIY with them so I picked up a few & went on my merry way through the rest of the store to buy other things I probably didn’t need. I came up with a little idea for the dollar spot canisters that I think is a cute little idea for anywhere in the home, but I decided to display mine on our door for a christmas wreath alternative…
These little hanging buckets are flat on the back & have two hangers on the back if you chose to hang them. This DIY is so simple it’s shocking. We simply painted a scrap board we had lying around the house in creme de menthe by Maison Blanche, & hung the three canisters on the board with screws. I stapled twine on the back to hang the DIY hanging buckets to hang it. Those pieces of greenery in the buckets? Also from the Target dollar spot! I know, they get me every time.
We hung the DIY hanging buckets on our front door, but it would be great for organization in an office or bathroom, floral display in the home, & lots more. It’s the easiest DIY ever & it’s great for holiday decor & more. What would you use it as?
I hope you guys liked this simple DIY project & our little simple holiday front door. Seriously don’t underestimate that stuff in the target dollar spot & have fun making some lovely things! I hope to be decorating our front stoop for Christmas soon. It’s quite messy at the time, but I hope to decorate it & when we do you know I will blog it! Let me know what you think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. & thank you as always for stopping by my little blog.. it means so much to me! xx
