Eeeeeek. Ok, ever since I have started decorating for Christmas this month. I can’t stop! The other day I finally had an hour to do nothing & I decided to & watch some TV & craft a little. I never really take time to craft & it’s something I really love doing. I had some cabinet doors lying around & some Christmas items from last year that I found & went to town while watching some nice reality TV. I can’t be the only one who does that. Mindless TV is great for crafting. Here is a few things I made from the cabinet doors we had in our garage…
For this first guy I took a wreath that I had & stapled it to the cupboard door. That simple. I then used some white garland that I got at Hobby Lobby last year to tie a bow for the wreath & wrap it around the top to make it look like the wreath was hanging from it. After I was done I attached some rope to the back to hang the door.
I did the same thing for this little guy. A simple wreath stapled to the cabinet door with some Christmas ribbon from Homegoods as a bow & rope attached to the back to hang it.
This Joy sign was one of my favorites & I think I need to make more like it. I simply used the garland to make letters on the cupboard door & stapled it. No real science, just making letters out of clippings of garland. The white garland is again the garland I found at Hobby Lobby last year that we used in our tree. I again attached some rope on the back to hang, but this one looks good sitting on a shelf too.
Just a couple of fun crafts done while watching mindless TV. I don’t know what it is about Christmas that makes me want to crap, but I’m not mad. Kind of fun to use items you already have to make some new Christmas decor out of too, there are so many options for these! Also, if you don’t have cabinet doors you can use pallet wood, scrap wood, & other items like that. I hope you guys liked these little cabinet Christmas crafts I made. They would be a great hanging on a door, on a wall, & sitting on shelves. I’ll be selling these babies at a barn sale that I’ll be at this weekend here in Michigan. If you are in the area stop in and see me to say hi! Click [here] to get more info on the barn sale. What do you guys think of my little Cabinet door Christmas wreaths? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. & as always thank you so so much for stopping by my blog & sharing it with your friends! xx
See how to make this DIY hall tree in the Christmas photos above [here].
I can’t get past the boots on the bench instead of the floor. The joy is cute, but the wreaths on the door?
you site slows down my browser so badly every time I’m here. Even when I type it shows up several seconds after I type. So many pictures
I love the JOY sign!! I would have never thought to do that but it looks so simple and so cute!
Also, to all those who like to pick on Liz for her pictures, no one needs that kind of negativity. I, for one, love lots of pictures and if you are having slow browser issues in this day and age, you might want to switch internet providers… just a thought.
I will never understand why people have to be so rude. Liz Marie I think you did a great job with using things you already had! Kudos!
Thank you so much for sharing this great idea! I have a whole bunch of cabinet doors left over from reno’s that I didn’t know what to do with but just knew I would find something eventually! I had thought to perhaps make them into ‘chalk boards’ to hang, using the raised part of the doors as the ‘frame’ and I may do that as well. But you have given me some fabulous ideas, thanks so much!! xoxo
Love, love love all of your posts, Liz! Anyway I can get rid of the yucky toenail ads at the bottom though? :/
I, for one, adore ALL your photos AND your words, especially the second sentence in the last paragraph. I can’t stop laughing! ???? I ❤️ Lizmarieblog.com
That was supposed to be a smiley emoji, not question marks!
I love all of these! I have some kitchen cabinet doors laying around and this would be a perfect project for them! Thanks for sharing 🙂
