Hi guys! Thanks for stopping by the blog today, it means a lot! Many of you saw on my Instagram [here] last week that I went shopping at Ikea. I have received 2,345,554 questions about where to find the faux plants in my house that I have been sharing in photos since my recent Ikea trip [I get it because I love them so much too & I’m so happy that you guys do as well!] So, I thought that I would quickly share the plants I got there & a couple other things I picked up while I was there. This isn’t everything, but it’s some of my favorite things I picked up that day. Please excuse my lighting in the post, I apparently forgot how to use my camera today, but this is some of my lovely Ikea finds from last week….
The Topiaries
These topiaries really caught my eye while I was at Ikea. They were around $29 so a little more expensive than there normal $5.99 plant at Ikea, but I just couldn’t pass them up. A living topiary would cost just as much or more & I would kill it so I was willing to pay a little more for these that I can’t kill. The little white pots & the small plants are always my go-to plants I get every time I’m at Ikea. They are a classic “Liz Marie” purchase. All of the other plants in this post are much cheaper, but these were a must for me as well.
So Affordable &…
I mean that mini topiary though? How cute is he? These plants from Ikea really are the best. they are so affordable & look great styled anywhere in any room. I will be blogging all about these shelves by the way tomorrow so stop back to see this great piece that Jose built. I’m so excited to share this DIY piece of furniture.
In the Dining Room
Here are some of the plants in our dining room. Excuse the lighting in all of these photos, my camera was acting up today [or was it me? Probably me.] & I’m not a pro-blogger so this is what we get today. Real life folks. I also got the textile in the centerpiece & the white pitcher on the table from Ikea as well. Seriously great finds. The textile is supposed to be a rug, but I thought it would look great on our dining table as a placemat or for a centerpiece.
Our Guest Bedroom
Our guest bedroom got some touches of Ikea as well. This room isn’t even painted yet!! Seriously I’m slacking over here, but I did purchased these gray & white pillow covers & some plants for the room of course. I will be blogging this rooms progress very soon, so check back for that. This room is far from finished, but these little things from Ikea made me excited to finally get it done. The plant on the coffee table is from Ikea & it’s quite a unique little tree so I had to get it.
So that is it for today’s Ikea haul. If you want some faux greenery & some other affordable decor I would for sure check them out. Also, we have sofas from there & love those as well [see my full review below]. I hope you guys are having a great week & that you enjoyed my ikea haul & the best faux greenery. What are your favorite items from Ikea? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you for stopping by the blog! xx

Hi Liz Marie, your home is lovely! Can you tell me where you found the white canisters, mugs, etc. that are in your white cupboard? They are so cute!
My favorite things from Ikea are the comforter inserts, with various thickness which I have several that I like better than my expensive one. You can not beat the inexpensive white curtains that fit in any room. In the kid’s section the tables and chairs, and teepees are nice. I have also purchased a kid’s art easel and large rolls of art paper that are great. Thanks for the tip about the cute plants. I will have to check them out the next time I go.
The Rae Dunn ceramics can be often found at Marshall’s and HomeGoods, but it may take some searching! I always find a piece or two at those stores. Mugs are about $3.99 each usually! 🙂
Yes! I just went to IKEA last week too and filled my cart to the brim with nothing but greenery and that same cute striped rug! I was so excited to snag those topiaries for so cheap. I looked like a crazy plant lady for sure. Haha! Always love your home, Liz. It’s a breath of fresh air. 🙂
What a coincidence! Just yesterday I went searching online for faux Muscari (a.k.a. grape hyacinth) plants! I found some very realistic ones, but they were $70 + up! We have to go to IKEA this week, so I will probably bring home the topiaries. I, too, buy + kill real ones!
ha ha ha so glad I am not alone in the plant killer dept! I even killed a cactus?!! I think the Ikea faux plants make such a great impact in a room – I have lots of them too. Will have to see if they have the topiaries in the Canadian stores. Too many things from Ikea that I love…good thing it’s a 45 minute trip there!!
LOVE the pop of greenery in your rooms. So refreshing and you pull it together so well! I get a ton of inspiration from you…..thank you so much for your posts.
Hi! Can you tell me where you bought your galvanized buckets for your taller plants? What size are the buckets? I love your style!!
