Throughout my journey of home decor one of the things I LOVE doing is playing around with new elements in my designs. My style has always been the same really, but I like add new things & of course adapt my style over time. When the seasons change it inspires me to try new things. With spring coming I was asked by World Market to refresh a space in our home.. perfect timing! Our kitchen was a little blah since taking down our Christmas decor so I got inspired by World Market’s new spring decor. What’s the element I chose to work with? Copper! Seriously copper has always been a favorite of mine on the outside of homes. A copper roof & copper lighting on the outside of a house is a dream to me so that inspired me to bring it inside our house & more specifically in our kitchen. Fun fact it’s actually snowing in March as I take these photos of our spring copper kitchen here in Michigan…
Some copper elements we brought into our kitchen are some copper measuring cups, copper collander, Copper handled cutting board, a copper paper towel holder, some copper handled vases, a copper spoon rest, copper measuring spoons, & some copper moscow mule cups that I really want to turn into planters. So much copper! I could have kept going, but our kitchen is so small that I didn’t want to go too crazy. The marble pedestals, hand towel, soap & soap bucket, lamp, coffee cups, french press, garden bucket, & lunch sign are also from World Market & have always been staples in our kitchen. The copper accents paired very nicely with them which was also a nice part about bringing the new items in.
I think the copper details totally make our kitchen look different & full of life just in time for spring. I can honestly say that we had not played around with a whole lot of copper in my designs before so this was really fun for me. The best part? These were not “permanent” changes like light fixtures or cabinet hardware. So if you want to play around with new elements in your decor I suggest easing into it with pieces like I used today that are easily replaceable to ease into the look you are going for.
What do you guys think about our spring copper kitchen refresh? I’m a little obsessed with it because it has brought our kitchen into the new season by just adding a few new details into the small space. Do you switch out your decor with the new season? Do you like using copper in your decor? Let me know in the comments below & be sure to follow me on Facebook & Instagram to keep in touch. xx

I love your kitchen!
I did a fresh up on mine too!
It is still amazing to me how with a little bit of paint or some accessories you can change a whole room 😉
I love copper and those black mugs! So lovely!
Your kitchen is so beautiful! I am loving all the copper. I have a copper pot I brought back from Paris last year and I haven’t used it yet because it’s so beautiful I’m afraid to mess it up! Who says kitchen pots can’t be art right? 🙂
Everything just looks so beautiful! I am so ready for Spring and sunshine!
This was really great to read. Thank you!
