I don’t say this to Jose often, but when he makes me something it’s literally the most romantic thing he could do for me. Jose is very extravagant with surprises & romantic gestures, but really my favorite thing is seeing him be creative & create things for me. But if I tell him that he might stop with the other surprises.. so, let’s have that be our little secret. Last week I made these little DIY picture frame terrariums [here] & I thought it would be cool to make a bigger version & I told Jose that we should make some out of windows. Well, he made one & I’m kind of in love…
I mean, it’s adorable. He made the window greenhouse out of antique windows we had in our garage & the roof was made with a piece of tin ceiling that I had collected. He explained how he made it on his blog [here] today. Be sure to head over & tell him what you think of it, but remember not to share my secret with him… that’s between you & I. But seriously, he could never buy me anything again & just make me sweet little things like this & my heart would melt every time. I’ll stop now, but it’s just really special to me. I placed the window greenhouse in our front landscaping surrounded by an antique rocking chair, a few garden tins from World Market, & a watering can from Target. I picked up one of my favorite plants, a dappled willow, from my favorite local greenhouse, horrocks, & placed it in a pot from there as well. Such a simple little garden vignette. Actually, or landscaping isn’t quite done yet so this is quite a perfect alternative for now.
Some day I dream of having my own large greenhouse. I always knew that eventually I would let my love for plants flourish into more than just one or two house plants, but until then let’s start small & dream big right? I remember when I used to do my Favorite Thing Friday blog posts [my long time readers know what that is!] I would always feature green houses because they were my obsession & still are. I think that’s one reason I love this little guy so much. It reminds me of my dream & it’s a small step to becoming a reality.
So there it is, my favorite little thing Jose has made. I’m really starting to flex my green thumb a little more & stop making a joke about how bad I am at keeping plants alive. I want to put forth an effort to caring for plants & this little gift from him should help right? Who knows what plants I will keep in here, but for now this little willow looks good in here. I’ll be back with updates for sure. Be sure to follow me on Facebook [here] & Instagram [here] to keep up with me behind the scenes. As always, THANK YOU for stopping by my little blog & supporting me.. I can’t ever tell you how much that means to me. Thank you! xx

I love how you see his creative endeavors as a very romantic gesture and I couldn’t agree more. That is something very special about him taking the time to create a one-of-a-kind for the love of his life! Not to mention, the greenhouse is adorable! You are indeed blessed!
