This post feels weird to me, but oh so good. You see most of our house is in boxes still & we haven’t even begun to unpack. There are paint cans everywhere, lots of empty rooms & we haven’t even scratched the surface on projects we are going to be doing on our new farmhouse, but yet here I am decorating our porch & it feels amazing! With the fourth of July weekend quickly approaching I wanted to at least decorate part of our wrap around porch using some of the wicker furniture they left behind, a few patriotic things from Target, & some of my lovely finds I had lying around…
The wicker furniture was all left here at the house & the striped blanket, the America pillow, & the blue & white star pillow are from Target. The red & blue star “pillows” are actually some vintage boat cushions. The tool box, crocks, wood crate, & plant stand, are all antique finds. That burlap flag pillow is from BirchLane [here] & the other little pillows are all finds from Gordmans. That farmhouse sign was a gift from Landrys antiques which is an awesome antique store down the road from our store. & those tiny American flags sprinkled everywhere? Those are from the Target dollar section. Go & get yourself some!
I’m loving our simple fourth of July porch & the view from here has been quite amazing in the evenings. I’m looking forward to many more nights here. Who knows how long this wicker will stay here, but I’m loving it for now & the ware & tear actually makes it much better in my eyes. Something about knowing how much this furniture was used and loved on this very porch by the owners before us also makes it very special. What do you think of our fourth of July porch? Do you decorate for the fourth? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you SO MUCH for stopping by my blog today it means a lot! xx

I super love your porch + all your “stuff”!
We hung a few banners on our not-yet-done porch, + it’s very festive.
Ditto for the love of Target’s $1 section — it’s a must-do every time we got to “Targ”.
Your post has inspired me to step up my game a bit.
