The Week Ahead
This is an exciting week here on the blog!! I will be doing final before & afters of all the rooms in our home as we are now moving into our new, well very old, farmhouse that you can read more about [here] in my announcement post last week. During our move I am taking photos of each room as it looks right before we pack it up & sharing the final farmhouse style and cottage style look here on the blog, before we move into our very own farmhouse/cottage!!!
We lived in this house for a year & a half & did TON of work on it to update it from the 80’s tri-level it was to a modern day farmhouse style home
. If you have been following my updates onInstagram [here] or Facebook [here] than you know it’s been a bitter sweet journey leaving our current home to live in our dream home, but you guys have been so amazing with all your encouraging & helpful words. Just one more reason I love sharing this journey with you guys. Today’s post is all about our tiny little guest bedroom. It was the former office on the lower level, but I wanted to create a cozy nook [let’s be honest, I wanted to create a room to nap in] So, I created a little guest bedroom in this space & let me tell you, it really was the best nap spot in the world…

Here is how the space looked BEFORE I got my hands on it…
& AFTER….
The Look
To update this space simply said I removed all the blue carpet & replaced it with luxary vinyl planks, painted the walls in Behr Dove White, replaced all of the ceiling tiles with wainscotting, & added lots of cozy cottage and farmhouse style decor. I added [this] daybed from World Market, some cozy bedding from Arhaus, some striped bedding and large pillows from Ikea, a rug from Marshalls, & some found items like the mantel, doors, window, & bed frames on the wall. The No Vacancy sign is a Home Goods find, the greenery is Ikea, & the lanterns are from Pottery Barn [here]. Above the mantel I had some art from Target, candlesticks from World Market [here], & some pottery pieces from Target. Honestly this room was kind of an eclectic mix of decor from around the house & I kind of love it.
This room was one of my favorites in our home & I will greatly miss this space, but it’s all packed up after today & headed to our new home. I also equally can’t wait to play with all of these items in our new house. Be sure to follow me on Instagram & Facebook for all our new home updates & be sure to check back at the blog every day this week to see a room makeover in our home. Thank you guys so much for stopping by the blog & sharing it with your friends & family, it means a lot!

This is absolutely adorable! Where did you get the huge sign beside the headboard? Speaking of the headboard how did you hang them? I would be afraid they would be too heavy! Thanks!
