Hi friends! Thanks for coming to visit our late summer farmhouse porch today… What a weird thing for me to be sharing my Summer porch in September. But as many of you know we moved into our farmhouse in June & it’s been a whirlwind of us renovating ever since so decorating wasn’t the top priority. I’m going to start decorating the porch for fall soon so I thought I would share what our summer porch has looked like most of the summer while we have lived in our farmhouse. I’ve kind of just been putting things out there as I’ve been unpacking, I guess I never had an exact plan for our porch & that’s probably why only the side of our farmhouse porch is styled. This is how the side of our porch looked today…
I have one of my favorite vintage dressers that I blogged about [here] & a set of primitive lockers that were in our last house in the entryway. The daybed/bench was find & so was the mattress that I put on it. the pillows on the bench are some random grainsack pillows that I either made myself or had in our home. The trunk, crocks, large basket, & a few other items are vintage finds. The “no vacancy” sign is from Home Goods, the olive buckets are from target, & the pumpkins & the flower sign are from my store, The Found Cottage. That Marquee light is from Vintage Marquee Lights & that ceiling light I blogged about [here]. It’s such an eclectic mix of stuff here on the side of our porch, but it works. We love sitting out here with the view of the barn in the grape vines. I’m sure after being here over the winter it will be completely different when we have more time next year, but I kind of love it. It’s cozy & pretty much perfect
I know this sounds weird.. but I wish we could all have coffee on my front porch together, but that seems pretty impossible so I hope this gave you a tiny glimpse into a tiny portion of our porch here at White Cottage Farm. What do you guys think of our porch? I’m excited to start decorating for fall here on the porch & I will hopefully be doing more than just the side here.. so more of our porch coming to the blog soon! Thank you SO MUCH as always for stopping by my blog, sharing it with your friends, & joining us in our journey of re-doing our farmhouse.. we appreciate you so much. xx
Hi Liz,
Passed by the house today on the way to work. You are doing such a great job and it does my heart good to know that that beautiful house has been passed to someone who appreciates it. I’ll enjoy following along as you renovate and can’t wait to see how it all comes together step by step. Wonderful memories to be made in the process.
Your porch looks beautiful. You are living my dream. I have always wanted to take an old farmhouse and make it over. Lovely as always!
So cozy, feels like home…
Would love to have coffee with you on your beautiful porch:)
The olive buckets are from Target? I’ve looked online and in stores and cannot find that they carry those…
Looks cozy! Would love to sit and drink…water…(not a big coffee drinker) on this beautiful front porch with you! Keep up the great work, I love reading all about it!
