The one room in our home that is the farthest along in our farmhouse renovation is our dining room. It honestly is just a big room of hope. Every other room is in an unfinished state which is really putting a cramp on my fall decorating. But of course I love renovating our farmhouse more than anything else, but you know through all the construction I am finding every semi-finished area in our home & sticking a pumpkin on it. I will not let fall pass me by without decorating for the season in our new home! Today I was honored to join up with some of my friends to bring you our farmhouse fall dining rooms with All Modern. True to form I wanted to put together a super simple neutral fall table using my favorite velvet pumpkins & white dishes…
Seriously, this room is turning into my favorite space in our house! Ok, so I blogged about this a while back when I blogged about our new metal dining chairs [here], but I wanted to stress this again since I was so shocked. When we were asked to work with All Modern on our farmhouse dining rooms I was like if the word “modern” is in the name I probably won’t love it for our home. Well, imagine my surprise when I found the dining chairs of my dream, the dishes I already collect, & about a hundred more things that I love. Score! In this dining space the metal white dining chairs [here], the two end slipcovered dining chairs [here], the centerpiece basket [here], there table runner [here], & the rae dunn dishes [here] & [here], are all from All Modern! Can you believe that? Maybe it’s just me, but I was shocked. Now that I’m writing this down I realize like 50% of the room is now from All Modern & that’s pretty cool when you discover a new place to find home decor. The table, mantel, cabinet, & ladder are all antique finds. & those chandies I blogged about [here]. For our simple fall farmhouse tablescape I laid out a linen table runner & placed the metal wire basket on it. I filled the basket with candlesticks from World Market & Battery powered candles from Target. I also included some of my Rae Dunn dishes that I adore. In the bowls I placed some velvet pumpkins I picked up from Target. Such a simple fall tablescape & a great way to start the fall season.
I am in love with our new slip-covered dining chairs & our metal ones. I love the combination of the two around the table & that it still shows off that gorgeous antique farmhouse table still because it’s one of my favorite pieces in the house. I’m actually sitting in one of the upholstered chairs as I type this & I just looked at Jose & said you should sit here more… it is so comfy! Firm yet soft. Feel me? I have to say I notice the quality difference in these two slip-covered chairs compared to others I have as well & these are really high quality for the price. & I’ve already blogged about those rustic white metal chairs… I loved them when I got them & I still love them now. Ten out of ten would recommend!
My go-to decor in the fall & winter is always to add candlesticks. I don’t even try to do it, it just happens naturally. I just love how even when the candles aren’t even on it still adds an element of warmth to the space. They also make a simple centerpiece that is so easy & you can change the look up with what you pair them with. If you don’t know where to start in your fall or winter decor this year, start with some candlesticks & build off those.
My love for Rae Dunn runs deep & I have been collecting her work for going on 4+ years now so when I saw that All Modern had those dishes as well, you know that I snatched some up for our fall dining table. One of my favorite dishes to bake in the fall is apple crisp & sometimes I bake it once a week because I love it so much. Apples are so fall, & these babies will be turning into apple crisp later today. What’s your go-to baking dish in the fall?
I could keep going. I’m sorry, but this room just makes me so happy. It’s like my little haven in our construction zone farmhouse right now. It’s truly how I picture White Cottage Farm looking & it just gets me so excited to continue working on this home of ours. I have dreamed of decorating it for fall & the holidays… & this is only the beginning. Thank you for being on this journey with us. Through every season it means so much to us that you stop by the blog daily to see what we are up to. Thank you! So you and so beautiful! I am still in awe of the 3 chandeliers. Thanks for sharing. Oh and pumpkin bars are my go to fall recipe.
Where did you get your dining room rug and is it soft? Love your blog!!!!
Liz, how did you connect and hide the wiring for the chandeliers?
hey Shelli! Jose just blogged this the other day on how to do it. Here is the link: craftsmandrive.com. Hope that helps!!
Thank you!!! It’s from World Market <3
Thank you so much Laurie! That means so much to me. & those pumpkin bars sound heavenly. I might have to find out how to make those gluten free <3 Thank you for sharing!
Hello,
Please let me know where you got that “thankful” sign? I adore that…well I adore everything you have done? I would love one of those to hang above my French doors.
I am OBSESSED with your dining room Liz. Obsessed. Your pictures here are so dreamy– perfect light and have the perfect focus with the pretty blur everywhere else– makes the focal point stand out more and the contrast with the rustic wood and the white everywhere else is making my heart sing.
Love your space so much! It’s so inspiring! I would love to hear where you got your rug from as well?!
Thanks!!
Hi Liz,
I absolutely love your style. I discovered you from a Pinterest post from another user because there was a photo of a buffet that I am really interested in.
I have been searching your site and was unable to find it anywhere on our blog (but found so many great things along the way!). I tried the email icon to message you and send you a screenshot but that function doesn’t seem to work. Is there a way we can connect so I can send you the image?
Thanks so much! You have inspired me yo fall decorate!!
I’m not sure if you’ve answered this before, but how did you wire all 3 chandeliers together?
Thank you so much Laurie! That means so much to me. & those pumpkin bars sound heavenly.
So so beautiful! Just wondering if you could post a link to the candleholders or if you remember the name of them because I can’t seem to find them on the World Market site and they are perfect! Thanks 🙂
