I was walking through the dining room today & realized I hadn’t shared our fall mantel on the blog with you guys yet. It is such a simple piece that we kind of just set in this dining room of ours so I kind of just forgot about it. I did “fall it up” a tiny bit so I thought why not share it since I am hoping to make it more of a permeant piece in this room & hopefully do something more with it in the future. Here is what our chippy mantel looked on this cloudy fall-like day we had today….
I love our simple little mantel right now! On the mantel I used some magnolia leaves that I got from our store & some white faux pumpkins from Michaels craft store. Continuing with my love for incorporating my friends work in our home, I used this pom garland from Piper Loves Nella who is an amazing vendor at our store, The Found Cottage. I’m obsessed with her pom garland & never really had a place to put it until now. & now you might see pom garland all over our home. The pillow is also from one of my friends that sells at our store, Fabric Scout Studio, I am obsessed with all of her pillows & have a small collection of them. The stripe pillow is from Farmhouse On Boone [here] which is one my new favorite small shops! The art above the mantel is from House Of Belonging & the wreath is from Decor Steals. The Chair is from All Modern. & last but not least is that black antique architectural post which is a find of mine. Super simple fall mantel.
The funny thing is is that we we have two actual working fireplaces in our home & the plan was to use this mantel on one of them, but like most of my plans, I changed my mind & this mantel will stay here & I’m hoping to put some kind of heater system in the mantel to heat this room in the winter. More updates on that later when we get to that. What do you guys think of our simple fall mantel? It’s so fun being so simple this year with our fall decor because our house is under construction. I think I have found my decorating style due to living in a fixer upper & for that I am thankful. Let me know what you think in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you so much as always for stopping by my blog today!! xx
Love it!!
I absolutely love everything about your fall mantle, but I am most inspired by the chippy black post. I have a similar post (unpainted) that’s been hanging out at the bottom of my ‘project pile’ for a while now and seeing yours inspires me to dig that thing out and paint it. Thanks for sharing!
Love it! Please post about the sliding chalkboard door. 🙂
Love it!! The neutral tones are so pretty!! I love the flannel hanger and that little stand with the pumpkin on is just the cutest! Happy Fall, Liz!
I can’t find the sign you have on the House of Belonging site. Was this a custom order?
