Wow. I really thought I would never say that. It’s not that I didn’t want to go to Waco to visit this lovely space that Chip & Jo have created, but just that I wasn’t sure if the time would ever come or if it would ever just organically happen. It was bound to happen sometime though right? Well, this week that happened. I am going to be going to the Silobration at Magnolia Market with one of my favorite brands of all time, Kilz. They are the wonderful company who make the Magnolia Home paint, one of my favorite paint lines, that we have been using in our farmhouse & I am lucky enough to hang out in their booth at the Silobration to talk to everyone about my experience with the paint & meet any of you who happen to be going!!!
I can’t wait to go to Waco and get inspired. Inspired by not only Magnolia Market, but by the vendors that will be selling there for the silobration, the people I get to meet, the Kilz team, & hopefully getting to meet a lot of new people as well. I’m not going to lie, I’m a homebody & traveling stresses me out a little bit, but this was such an honor to be invited that I am going to make the most of every single minute I am there & I will be sharing my experience with you on my Instagram through photos & videos. So be sure to follow me [here] on Instagram to follow along with my journey. I will also be blogging my experience as well because you know I can’t keep that inspiration to myself. It will be hard to leave the farm here in Michigan, but we all know that this trip to Waco had to happen sometime right? Joanna really does it all, but her paint line is one of my favorite things that she has come out with…
I took this photo of the Magnolia paint in our last house when we first started using it & it’s been a loving relationship since that day. Kilz will be at the Silobration with their own booth & I will be in the booth both Thursday & Friday hanging out. Stay tuned to my Instagram & Facebook those days to see what I’m up to & where I’m at… I can’t wait to share this trip with you guys. I am so thankful & grateful for this opportunity & that you guys are always right there with me through everything. Thank you as always for stopping by my blog today & everyday. Have you guys ever been to Magnolia Market? LEAVE YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PLACES I SHOULD GO, SEE, EAT, & DO in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. xx
*Kilz is taking me on this amazing trip, but as always all opinions & words are my very own. xx
Ah! You are going to have so much fun! It is such a beautiful place! I was in awe when I was at the Silobration last year. You definitely need to go to Common Ground for some coffee, it’s delicious! And check out Harp Design Co! I can’t wait to see your pics from the trip! Have so much fun friend!!
I just used her paint and I loved the matte finish and color “trowel”. You must visit “the findery” down the block and some unique shops on LaSalle Avenue.
Oh how fun! I just took my little sister there this last week, and we had a blast! It felt so fun and fall-ish! Hope you have a blast! 🙂
Liz, i will be there too! This is Sherye in Houston. We met at The Found Cottage. I an a MI girl. I will look forward to seeing you Fri. It is going to be a blast. Me & 5 girls are staying at the Magnolia B & B. You are going to live Waco. I will give you some places to go when I see you fri.

Ok, yes I’ll say it… jealous.
Best burger & shake in Waco is at Health Camp. Don’t let the name fool you! It’s been there FOREVER. And it’s kind of in a shack, don’t let that fool you either. If you like BBQ, Viteks is good. While at the market, stroll through downtown Waco, there are some cool shops. Enjoy Waco! As a Baylor grad, it’s near & dear to my heart.
For sure go to Spice Village and if you can, book a tour with David or Luke at Waco Tours. It was such a blast and it’s a quick way to see everything you might want to see in a short amount of time. Have a BLAST!!!
Awesome! I’ll be following along! Love all the colors!

We did the Silobration last year and it was tons of fun…muddy but fun! I’ll be missing it this year but will be stopping by on Wednesday on our way up to Dallas, I’m so bummed to miss it and you this year! Everyone’s suggestions are great and I’ll add, though it’s not a Waco original, you can’t go wrong with some Torchy’s Tacos in the morning 🙂
Can’t wait to see pictures…happy you are getting to go there.
So happy for you!! Love, love Magnolia and Waco!! The trolley ride downtown is fun…5 stops, including The Silos , The Findery and Spice Village. The suspension bridge is full of neat Waco history. The food trucks at The Silos are awesome…Cheddar Box is my favorite and they have gluten free bread=) Make sure you visit The Common Grounds coffee shop across from Baylor, as well as their ice cream shop, The Creamery, next door. Have fun y’all!!!
Tell Chip Mary says hi !! Tell Jojo I’ll paint a barn painting for her, using her paints!!?
So jealous, I’d love to go but happy I get to follow along here on your blog and through Instagram. Definitely the next best thing! Have so much fun!
Your style is not all that great . You have way too much junk and your furniture doesn’t look all that clean. I’m not understanding how companies keep sponsoring you . It doesn’t take a whole lot of talent to paint everything in your house white and to hang old junk on the wall .
haha that’s what I hear! I brought my booties and an umbrella to prepare.. we will see! Thanks for the all tips.. that means a lot <3 xx
Thank you so much Jolia!!! You know I need some coffee.. thank you SO MUCH for that suggestion. I can’t wait to go now!
That’s so mean spirited. Why???
Oh my! I am soon to board a flight with my sweet husband to Waco for the Silobration! I have followed along with you for quite some time and am always inspired! You’re a beautiful soul with an abundance of creativity! Can’t wait to possibly meet you!
I hope you get to go soon Tiffany & I hope I can do it some justice with videos and photos.. thanks for your sweet comment. <3 xx
Sounds sooooo fun! Thank you!!!!!
Awesome! I have been several times and am flying out tomorrow to go again! You will love it! I have met you at your shop before and I will stop by on Friday and say hi. Safe travels!
Spice Village is a must!!! See if Laverty’s is going to be open…I would think she would open this weekend…see if show and tell antiques is still open….enjoy!!! I have some of my favorite pieces in my home from Waco!
So excited for you! I attended the Silobration last year and met Joanna’s lovely sister…WONDERFUL family. Make sure that you take a picture of your feet at the Welcome sign on the wood floor as you enter the Magnolia store. Have fun and take lots of photos!
Liz, you’re awesome don’t forget that. Don’t let negativity or negative people impact you or your work. You’re a painting goddess and deserve all the happiness in the world! I also really love dirty furniture 😉 #NastyAs*
I was just there a couple weeks ago for antique week in Round Top…we had to visit the silos too! If you ever get a chance to go to Round Top-take it-you would fall in love with everything…the town, the people, the wares…it is 26 miles of vendors! I think you would love it! What an experience you had at the silobration!! I loved your pics-felt like you took all of us along. I’m so happy for you…congratulations! ❤️
