Happy November! You guys!! It’s my first Christmas post of 2016… can you believe it? Neither can I! I wanted to start posting our Christmas decor early to hopefully inspire you in some small way for when you start to decorate for the Holidays. I teamed up with some of my best blogging friends to share our Christmas bedrooms with you today with Birch Lane. The funny thing? Our master bedroom is no where near being done, in fact we haven’t even started renovation in there yet, but I still wanted to decorate it for the holidays. For this look I wanted to do something kind of traditional with pops of color which is always fun for me to do around the holidays. You know that I will be sharing some neutral Christmas decor this year too, but I wanted to have a little fun today…
Since the room is kind of an unfinished mess, the only part that is looking good these days is our bed area so that is the only part that I decorated for the holidays for now. More updates on this room later. The church pew at the end of the bed, the cozy throw, the mirrors, & the wreaths on the mirrors are all from Birch Lane. I love the church pew at the end of the bed since we do not have a footboard on our bed from Arhaus & it also added a lot of warmth to the space as well. & of course it’s pretty cool to be able to buy a church pew reproduction if you can find the real deal. How perfect for Christmas decor?
I always like to play around with color around Christmas and these plaid pillows from Pottery Barn & the red and white pillows from Target add the perfect pops. I also added my favorite Christmas pillow of all time that was handmade by my friend Sue from Fabric Scout Studio. The bedding is from Anthropologie [here]. The nightstands are antique finds that I painted with Magnolia Home Paint in one horn white. The lamps, grain sacks, Christmas trees, baskets, & rug are all from Target as well.
& I’m sure you are all wonder where I got that AMAZING sign above the bed. Well, most of you probably have already guessed it. It is made by the one & only Feather & Birch. Heidi is such a great friend & when I came up with a Christmas idea she literally brought it to life. You can find the sign in her Etsy shop [here]. Have I ever told you how much I love my creative friends? Well I do. It’s so fun to collaborate & dream up ideas together & bring them to life. Well, that completes our Christmas bedroom for now… If this doesn’t put you in the spirit for the upcoming holidays, I don’t know what will. *I worked with BirchLane on this post, but as always all opinions are my very own. xx
Ah-mazing design! Love the colors, and I love that cozy vibe the place exudes.
Did you need to sand and prime the dressers before painting with Magnolia Old Horn? I see it’s an interior paint instead of their furniture-specific line.
Where do you buy your big white pillows for your bed?
Love everything about this! Could you add links to Target finds? I’ve tried searching and can’t find those little trees. Thanks so much!! Xo!
Hi,
I have a question. I have been following your blog using Bloglovin for a while now but for quite some time (since August actually) Bloglovin tells me you have not published any posts. That seems rather weird to me? Is it me or is something wrong? I still ‘follow’ your blog according to Bloglovin.
I LOVE the red & white target pillows but can find them. Can you listen the direct link? Thx.
Love the sign! Can you tell me the name of the font used?
Thanks!
Festive scatter cushions are the order of the year this Christmas; I really like the style in your article and this blog https://www.sharps.co.uk/5-style-updates-to-get-your-guest-bedroom-ready-for-christmas! I think these two are going to be the inspiration for our bedroom decorations this year.
