A few weeks ago a friend and I went to a flea market. It was a rainy cold day, but we had some friends that were set up there selling their goods so we wanted to and support them. I wasn’t really expecting to find anything because the weather got me down, but boy was I wrong. Rewind to a few weeks prior to that flea market day at another flea market this past summer, I spotted a beautiful white dresser & I sat and stared at it for a long time dreaming of where I could use it. I passed on it because I couldn’t think of a place for it in our farmhouse… & after we left I regretted it so much! So fast forward back to this cold rainy day at the flea market with my friend & guess what I spotted? THE WHITE DRESSER I kind of ran to it in slow motion & couldn’t believe it hadn’t found a home yet. I knew the wonderful woman who was selling it and she must have seen the lust in my eye for the dresser because she offered me a heck of a deal on it & I took her up on it right away. I got the beautiful white dresser!
When I saw it for the second time I actually had a great plan for it. I was going to use it in our sliding door living room off the kitchen as a coffee bar. I was so set on that idea until Jose and I brought it in the house & my decorating add set it in and I was like “oh hey handsome husband! Let’s bring it into the sunroom quick a minute.” & just like that the sunroom got a new old dresser. The table we had here before was never my favorite. It was a little too small & offered no storage. I also hated that you could see the window under the table because it was a little distracting and looked messy. Long story short.. I’m so happy about this dresser & so happy that our sunroom is one step closer to being a “complete room”… whatever that means.
This lovely lamp is from my collection at Painted Fox [here] & the bucket of trees is from Home Goods. The typewriter, books, window, & little accessories are finds from antique stores. & that yummy candle is from Magnolia Market. I can’t wait to decorate this little dresser in our sunroom for Christmas.. stay tuned for that!
So there she is. I guess this dresser was just meant for our sunroom. What do you think of it? I’m going to be filling the drawers with cozy blankets for the winter & probably throw pillows because… well, I’m addicted. Updates on that to come. Let me know what you think of the new sunroom dresser in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram. Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! xx
