You guys. WHO AM I? It’s December 12 & I have gifts wrapped. Yes, that means that I did some Christmas shopping already & I’m not throwing the presents in wrinkled gift bags as I walk out the door to a Christmas party. I’m pretty proud. So, I wanted to show you guys today my progress of gift wrapping this year. Don’t give me too much credit… most of the Christmas shopping needs to be done & way more wrapping, but progress is what matters right…
Jose & wrapped gifts the other night as we watched Christmas movies & it was my favorite date night in forever. I just love holiday traditions and the nostalgia of it all. I think this is a new one for us. We kind of had a system, he would do the wrapping paper & I got to have fun with the ribbon and tags. The best part? I was able to get all my wrapping paper, tags, gift boxes, ribbon, & everything else in one place this year… Home Goods. I honestly had no idea they had all of this good stuff, but it turns out they do. My favorite thing were these gingerbread house gift boxes.. are they not adorable? & the best part is you can just throw the gift in and put the roof [lid] back on & you are good to go. How awesome is that. Just make sure you have no snoopers in the house because it would be easy to sneak a peek at your gift. Is it just me or do you have to know what you are getting before Christmas? I want to be surprised! I wanted to do something out of my normal for our Christmas gift wrap this year so I went with a few rose gold paper choices to pair with the ginger bread boxes. Then I found these vintage inspired ribbon spools in colors like olive, blue, natural, & gold. I went with oversized gift tags & then I found the sweetest little wool gift toppers that can double as ornaments. I pretty much had a lot of fun.
I can’t be the only who who HATED wrapping gifts. It was seriously a chore to me before. This year having it be something that Jose and I did together. We laughed, He mocked me for my bad wrapping skills, & I threw little tiny wool sheep at him, & it was such a fun time. Now I’m looking forward to our wrap party dates every year. It’s funny when things aren’t a chore anymore because you do them with someone you love & the pretty wrapping paper doesn’t hurt either. Everything is better when you are with your partner in crime.
It’s not a bad thing when you start your Monday off two weeks before Christmas & you have some gifts wrapped already. I mean, don’t mind that I haven’t folded our laundry in two weeks. Focus on these pretty photos people & the laundry can wait. So I HAVE to know. Do you wrap gifts? Are you a last minute wrapper like I usually am? Do you only do gift bags? Or are your gifts already wrapped on December 1st with pretty ribbon under your tree? Let me know in the comments below, find me on Facebook, & chat with me on Instagram.

Oh my LOVE!! the gingerbread house boxes are seriously the cutest!! I love it all. I’m going to go sneak a peek at homesense after work 🙂
So magical Liz! I purchased paper at Home Goods too but I didn’t see any of these at ours. I adore the knit print and the wooly sheep toppers.
Those wooly sheep are adorable!
I LOVE your gift wrapping – so adorable like the rest of your decorating. I personally love to wrap gifts and make them look cute. I even told my husband I’d love to do that as a side gig during the holidays – being someone’s wrapping elf ???
Those boxes are so cute! Love your blog. I am usually a last minute wrapper but am trying to start this week!
I always try to wrap at least some gifts by Thanksgiving, so that I can leave them at my parents and in laws houses so we have less to bring at Christmas! I just hide them in our bedroom closets. Haha! I love wrapping gifts and always buy my wrap at Homegoods! This year I did red and black plaid paper with black grosgrain. I also did black deer on kraft paper with red stripe ribbon! I loved the coordinated colors this year!
Is there a brand on any of the boxes/paper? My Frisco, TX homegoods didn’t haven any! ?
What beautiful packages! I’m usually a last minute shopper, but this year after being at The Container Store and seeing some of their gift wrapping I’ve bought some nice paper, ribbon, tags and little decorations for gifts. Did you find the sheep at home goods also? I’m heading there Monday to look for the boxes.
Merry Christmas! ?
Just wondering how you get your tree to stand straight in the crock….I have tried….treestand is too big.
